1979 lincoln town car
1979 Lincoln Continental Description
This is my 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car. The car runs and drives, lights work, gauges work, and power seats work. Power windows work great (passenger rear needs plastic gear but you can hear the motor working). Power locks work but can sometimes be finicky. The car leaks some oil at the oil pressure sensor behind the carb (not horrible but will drip). Transmission shifts great. It has new distributor cap and rotor, plugs/wires, ignition coil, ignition module, all belts, and upper/lower radiator hoses. Carb needs to be adjusted or replaced. It has a slight studder that gets better when warm, but it is still noticeable. A/C condenser has a small crack at the lower fitting so the freon leaks out, but compressor and A/C components are in good shape. Interior is in good condition. No water leaks, headliner is nice, seats are good, carpet is not ripped or stained, dash and trim pieces could use some cleaning. Cruise control works great (car will cruise down the highway at 80 all day). At some point in its life it was re-painted. its a decent job and looks good overall but it is starting to show age. Has some typical rust under the doors and around the trunk area that are shown in the pictures. Underneath the car is pretty clean overall (undercoated and long time ago). This is not a show car! It is a great driver quality car that still gets compliments wherever i drive it. If you have any questions just email me at anthony.armeli@yahoo.com The car is for sale local as well and i can pull th auction at any time. Thank you!
