Restored One Of A Kind Daily Driver 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V Cartier
1979 Lincoln Mark Series Mark V Cartier Description
This is a one of a kind power everything truly beautiful 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V Cartier Edition.I have owned this car for quite a time now. When I initially acquired it, it had not been driven for years, and the body paint had seen better days...I've completely repaired it both mechanically and aesthetically. The interior of the car is all original and in stunning condition - that's what initially attracted my attention. The outside of the car's body was repainted a couple of months ago and is now super nice as well. This car does not have a single point of rust. The vinyl top is also new. Both the paint and vinyl top matches the original color codes of the car. Both the transmission and the engine received a complete service overhaul with new gaskets, new engine belts, new remanufactured carburettor, new ignition box, etc.All the fuel system was replaced, new gas tank, new sending unit/fuel pump, etc.The whole breaking system was replaced as well with new break pads and callipers, new hoses, etc. Note that this is an all 4 wheels disk brakes. The AC was converted to the R134 and received a complete checkup. It is blowing ice cold. The rear suspensions of the car were also replaced. All 4 tires are new, balanced and aligned. The driveshaft in the car is also brand new.I've only driven around 2,500 miles since that I've finished to repair and upgrade the car with new parts.Talking about the audio system, all 4 speakers were replaced with top of the line Alpine speakers. The stereo was replaced by a modern retrosound hardware that has antique look but the modern stuffs such as Bluetooth and ability to connect an external amplifier if desired. All audio cables were replaced as well with thicker copper cables - the type quality you usually find in living rooms. All this combined makes the sound stunning in the car with no noise coloration whatsoever and real bass.I actually love very much the car and people often stop me at traffic lights to tell me how beautiful the car is, but I have too many cars and I feel I've done my time with this one and it's now a good moment to pass it to somebody else to enjoy it.The car drives remarkably well and is not currently in need of any repairs. It is a car made for comfort, not speed. Seating in this car is as comfortable as seating in your living room. The seats in this car are the nice velour seats that show no sign of wear whatsoever and that are less frequent than the leather ones. The car is nearly 40 years old and is sold "as-is" with a clean Florida title. If you have any question or would like to see the car and have a little chat, you may send me a message and I'll return you my phone number.
