1961 Lincoln Continental Description

Re-listing with a lower reserve! Own a true piece of American history and Americana. This is the same type of car from the show Entourage and the JFK assassination For sale is an original 1961 Lincoln Continental Convertible. This is the first year of the "suicide" doors and for this body style and a rare find. Less than 3000 were made in 1961 and its safe to say they didn't all survive. I'm told I have the only one in the state of Colorado. The top works and the cylinders have been replaced with hydraulic ones. The windows work and roll fine up and down. Top works up and down. Seats have been reupholstered with vinyl from the original leather but the electric seat works. Original 430 motor and transmission. White exterior, white interior and white top (those are the original colors of the car). Recently replaced the water pump with a reconditioned original (still have the old core). The radiator was recently completely rebuilt as well. This is an AC car. Not sure if it works though. Radio still works. Brakes are soft but the car drives fine down the highway at 70 mph and stops. Headlights, tail lights, brake lights and turn signals all work. Could be a nice parade car or drive it to the car show. Included are the original spare tire, all of the cigarette lighters and a service manual. This car has not been cut up. The chrome is all there and is in extremely good shape. This car has factory seat belts. Body is straight. Some minor surface rust along lower rocker If you're looking for a cruiser and piece of true American history/Americana than this is the car for you. Car is sold as is where is with no warranty/guarantee. Clean CO title in hand. The car is being listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I can help arrange shipping if you're an out of state buyer. Buyer is responsible for ALL shipping costs. I can send additional photos (please let me know what parts of the car you'd like to see) and I will answer all questions as best as I can. I'm not a mechanic and don't claim to be an expert on cars and particularly these cars.
