1972 Lincoln George Barris Kustom Bugazzi Description

1972 Barris Bugazzi. Barris Kustoms took a new 1972 Lincoln Continental Mk IV and customized to be the Bugazzi. Considered the ultimate in luxury, they sold for more than a Rolls Royce. Car was extended about a foot longer than stock. Custom fenders, decklid, headlights, Vinyl roof section, running boards and grille, really sets this car apart from the average Lincoln. This car was bought new, and owned by a renowned film producer in the Hollywood area. the number of Bugazzi's produced is still unknown, although its rumored that it was at least 12, and as many as 18. This car has been stored inside it's whole life. only 83K original miles. Runs and drives perfectly. it is all original paint and upholstery. another thing that sets the Bugazzi apart from other luxury sedans of the time, is the flamboyant interior. Every Bugazzi came upholstered with a persian rug for carpeting. Black Marble inlays garnish the door panels, dash board, and steering wheel. Custom suede leather interior with an umbrella and pistol holster sewn into the seat. Original suede headliner is still in very good condition. Rear seat has a fold down center section with matching pewter bar set inside. When bar is folded up in the stored position, a monogrammed "B" is visible in the center for "Barris". All Bugazzi's came equip with chrome Borrani knock-off wheels. This car still has all 5 Boranni's in great original shape. 3/4" white stripe tires are a bit aged, but are holding up well. Original silver paint is still in decent condition, as well as vinyl top. Chrome air cleaner, valve covers, and other various engine parts still look brilliant. Trunk is upholstered in the matching interior as the passenger compartment. Chrome plated bumper jack and tire tools are still present, as well as the lead hammer for the knock-offs. "Bugazzi" is inscribed on both door handles, door sills, and on header panel under the hood. In the 1970's, the owner obtained some original Barris crests to attach to the car, but it never happened. they come with the car, as well as a Barris Kustom key fob. These don't come up for sale often. One sold earlier this year at auction for $19K. Please ask any questions first before bidding. I will answer as best I can, as I am selling for the family. The original owner has decided to let the car go, as he's retired from driving. Still located in the Hollywood area. Shipping is responsibility of the purchaser.
