2001 Lincoln LS Description

This Lincoln LS runs but has a serious problem in the engine. It wont idle and the problem is getting worse. The radio and battery have been removed.
I wouldn't drive it until that problem is fixed.
I can help with towing within 80 miles of 55449.
Engine cover is included just removed for photos.
• The engine has about 80k miles on it.
• The transmission has about 70k.
• Resent alignment done
Despite the mileage this is a very well maintained vehicle!
All this is worth a lot more if parted out or the car repaired. I don't have the time or the ambition.
These aftermarket parts were installed:
• Stainless brake lines with stainless banjo bolts (set of four). These make braking much more responsive. The give in the OEM brake lines steal line pressure.
• Aftermarket heated seats in the front. The rear seat heater has yet to be installed. (new in the box).
• Viper remote start and security with 2-way remote. Remotely open and close and windows and sunroof. 1 mile range. Two remote key fobs. Works great!
• Integrated backup camera. (see photos)
• Infinity cappa speakers with inline crossovers and fiberglass cones (very clear at loud volume) two sets of two. One in every door.
• Rear mount Curt trailer hitch. Class II with the box to wire it the the LS. Many cars don't need a special box, but of course the LS does.
OEM parts that were installed new and still in great shape:
• Moog problem solver lower ball joints Gen 2 16mm shafts (about 5k miles on them)
• Jaguar upper control arms (about 10k miles on those)
• Jaguar coolant tower, the parts that holds the thermostat (aluminum replacement for the plastic Lincoln one)
• All new coolant hoses and cross-feed tube about 10k miles ago (all new plastic for anything that couldn't be converted to aluminum).
• New oil cooler (the updated part number all aluminum) about 10k miles ago.
• NEW (100 miles on them) SNOW TIRES Michelin X-ICE 215/60R16
• Front wheel bearings. Timkin brand. (about 40k miles ago)
• Full size spare tire. I replaced the donut the car came with. It is original Lincoln just a different year.
• Inside door handles on the two front doors (bolted in, not riveted, so they can be removed).
• Jaguar exhaust heat shields. This is what Jag did to stop the valve covers from getting to hot and leaking, which only takes about 20k miles from new on a LS valve cover. It is a heat shield all the way around the exhaust manifolds. (not cheap from Jag dealer). I installed about 40k miles ago. Not that they ware out.
• Jaguar engine internals (aluminum upgrades to the Lincoln plastic)
- Timing chain tensioners, two
- Timing chain slides, four
- Timing chains and sprockets (similar to Gen 2 Lincoln) not known to fail like the Gen 1 chains. Six sprockets and four chains.
- The engine failed, or is starting to fail I should say. The above internals are probably still good.
• Extra Lincoln grill and OEM floor mat set of four included in the sale of car.
• Extra Jaguar heat shield gaskets. Included in the sale.
• AC compressor, water pump, and alternator have about 60k on them.
• Rear toe strut arms in the rear (torque rods) have 40k miles on them. Common reason for the rear wheels coming out of alignment.
I know a lot about the Lincoln LS, Please feel free to ask questions.
