2006 Lotus Elise Touring Package Description

I have recently decided to sell my beautiful low mileage Lotus Elise, as I do not use it. Mostly because I have a large classic car collection, and have always preferred the old British cars that I grew up with. So here is your chance to own a fine example of this marque, that has been garage kept, since my purchase several years ago from a dealership in Houston that handles exotic vehicles. Upon purchase I was provided with a clear carfax report. I have driven it approximately 2000 miles during my ownership, much of it being the trip back from Houston, and two car shows that I attended with the car.
This car as you see comes with the Touring Package, which includes the leather interior, still in as new condition. Also a several thousand dollar option is the factory hardtop, which interestingly, I have never removed. The convertible canvas top still resides in the trunk (if you can call it that), and I have not removed it from its factory bag. I do like the sleek look that the hardtop gives the car, as well as the sealed cockpit, versus the canvas. Having once owned a 2005 Elise with soft top only, I can say that it does just fine with the canvas, but that is personal preference, and you can have the option with this car!
This car has cold AC, and a sound system. All components are in working order. It is very quick and drives/runs/handles beautifully. Tires have excellent tread, and appear to be original to the car. I have a trickle charger on the recent new battery for which you will see the electric cord in back. It has the clear "bra" coating on front nose. It is very hard to find any flaws on the car, but I will mention as follows...there are a couple of blemishes that appear very minor and unnoticed even at the shows, namely a slight hairline crack in the horizontal fiberglass lip behind the front license plate bracket, about 3 inches, not structural in nature, purely cosmetic, and a slight scuff of an inch on the lower front nose that is almost unavoidable on these cars. Almost all have it, or will. Easy fix on both and you can adjust accordingly on your bid if desired, for the few hundred dollars I have not spent to repair it. I included pics. Note that this car has not been dealer prepped like the eBay sold example shown in the photos. You will not have to pay the thousands extra you pay a dealer to show professional photos, as this is a private sale, yet I do have the eBay 100% good feedback record to show honest forthright dealings for over 15 years that I have used eBay for classic car selling/buying. This is an excellent car shown just as I have kept it there in the garage since I bought it in my mid 50's. Books and records remain in the dash cubby as shown.
The most recent Elise that sold November 28 on eBay, at a dealership, with just 3000 or so miles less than my car, brought $46,200. My reserve is much lower and actually over $10K less than this comparable car, as my intent is to sell the car by year end, and move on to my two Healey 100 restoration projects. These cars are rare exotics, but reliable due to the Toyota designed Lotus engine. Rapidly moving up in value especially if a low mileage example like this one. This is a chance to own a close to new Elise, a true exotic sports car that is a comparable driving experience, design and style, compared to other sports cars that cost $90K or more, so definitely an opportunity you may not see again.
I am selling it like any pre-owned vehicle, in as is condition, and viewings or questions are encouraged prior to auction end, as all sales are final. I expect a $1000 deposit within 24 hours from the winning bidder, by PayPal or wire transfer. I will assist with shipping if needed. The car will be stored where pictured at my residence until you pick it up, which must be within 3 weeks of auction end, unless otherwise agreed prior to auction end. Balance is due by wire transfer or cash, before I send title or allow pickup, and I have clear title to the car.
