2011 Lotus Evora 2+2 Description

There is a reason to work at the shop besides paying the power bill and bar tabs from the past weekend. It is the occasional chance to ride exotic motorcycles and spectacular cars every so often that roll through our shop doors. This 2011 Lotus Evora rings the bell and thankfully I was able to experience some of it’s spectacular attributes on a test drive to Rogue River. The some what funny part is that I was unaware of the Sport Setting Mode and experienced the car only in it’s reduced function. I get one crack at the drive, so I will never know what the car might be capable of.
The Evora was intended to be a refined Lotus for modern times, taking the Go-Kart instincts of the Elise and Exige, adding two feet of wheel base and five inches of track to create a Lotus with leg room and a back seat. That back seat is less then what you would find in a 911, but it is there and has safety belts so mission accomplished. I was able to find more then enough leg room (6’3”) with more to spare. Once in the car it was snug and supportive which is a great thing considering the possibilities of the car. The short drive to Rogue River on Foothill instantly made me aware that the front wheels feel were connected to my hands like nothing I have to driven before. It reminded me of that old “Tiger Paws” Firestone ad, the one where the fingers are tearing up the asphalt with grip. Like I said before, I did not even know there was a Sport Setting Mode I was missing out on.
The drive train is all Toyota. The engine is a 3.5 V-6 and the transmission their Six Speed. Never has a Toyota sounded so good, EVER! The owner has installed a Sports Exhaust System that is truly unbelievable to hear (the stock system comes with the car). He also has receipts for $4,800 worth of Kenwood Stereo which incorporates the back-up camera. As he felt that there was too much white with the car, he had a local shop do a black wrap on the roof panel and the lower front air damn which can be removed if so desired.
Miles showing are 20,968. The VIN# is SCCLMDTVXBHA10435. We have the Auto Check which shows this to be the second owner and no accidents or repairs. There will be no questions asked, after your inspection at our shop, if you do not like the vehicle. Payment is due in full after 7 days. The vehicle cannot be picked up until funds have cleared or prior arrangements have been completed.

We try to offer clean vehicles honestly and to see some loon strapping a car, bike or motor home to an open trailer with bald tires is heart breaking. I can assist the shippers, but that will have to be ordered and paid for by the winning bidder. We cannot accept personal checks.
