1997 Lotus Esprit V8 twin turbo, 41,275 miles,removablesmoked glass top, stainless steel twin center exhaust, updated newer Lotus brand alloy wheels, owner's handbook with service history, original Kenwood stereo system altered to be I-pod ready, newer alternator, the A/C is non-functional, some maintenance history files included, no known accident history. Overdue for "C" service. I'm selling for friend on consignment and I have vehicle in my possession. Looks, runs, and drives beautifully. I believe him to be the 3rd owner (for last 8 years) and he's only driven about 400 miles each year. Had regular oil/filter changes. New Jersey state inspection current through this year. Always garaged, always pampered. Comes with a high quality waterproof fitted outdoor car cover.

Only known/obvious blemishes are detailed in pictures on my website "TaylorMadeClassicCars" Only one rim has curb rash, black tape is lifting off the trim piece between driver door and glass behind side view mirror, there's no clock face on the dash, the rear hatch struts are a little weak and only hold up the hatch 3/4 of the way, front bumper has faint lines, chip out of rear fender molding, rear hatch vent cracked/glued. Additional information:There is no tool kit and no battery cover that I found. The owner's handbook maintenance at authorized Lotus dealers is as follows: "after sales service" 9-25-1996, 930 miles / A-service 8-25-1997, 7,055 miles / A-service 10-30-1998, 14,132 miles / A-service 10-23-2000, 17,929 miles / A-service 11-8-2004, 19,955 miles / A-service 08-23-2005, 30,281 miles. That is the last Lotus authorized service recorded in the owner's handbook. The current owner bought the car in 2009 and has only driven 400 miles each year since then. He did not have it serviced at an authorized Lotus dealer. I have receipts of work done (tie rod end, alternator, A/C check, oil changes, state inspection) from Palma's Automotive in Audubon, NJ during his ownership. As such, no evidence/documentation showing the important "C" service having been done. It appears car was "well maintained" by Lotus up until 2005 and then maintained by other sources after that time, but only addressing needs or repairs typical of ownership ignorant of "Lotus only" care.

Please remember that this is a "classic" vehicle 20 years old. It needs regularly scheduled maintenance updates and is consistent with a vehicle with this mileage, age and use. Car is available for pre-bid inspections and I would always encourage and welcome this. I am proud of my 100% excellent feedback score and always try to give accurate descriptions so that there are no surprises or disappointments. I am open and receptive torealisticoffers considering all that is included.
