1999 Mazda MX-5 Miata Red Manual Cloth Seats Clean
1999 Mazda MX-5 Miata Convertible 2 door Description
I purchased this Miata 1/31/2016 with 67,040 miles. I purchased this car after looking at 10+ other Miatas as it was clean, unmodified, and most importantly, rust free. I was also house shopping at the time and planned to have a garage to work on and store the car in, but plans changed and the car has spent all the time in my ownership in a family member's garage, only being driven and serviced on the weekends. I planned to keep it for years but my current living situation (no garage) doesn't allow me to use it as often as I'd like, and I won't let it sit outside. The car is reliable and would be a perfectly suitable daily driver. The aftermarket wind blocker, shown in the pictures, will not be included in the sale.
I replaced the below parts as preventative maintenance/upgrades and to familiarize myself with the car.
- 2/27/2016 -- Replaced radiator with all aluminum, dual row radiator (improved cooling over facotry, single row radiator), Gates upper and lower radiator hoses, steel clamps, Stant thermostat and Fel-Pro gasket, and fresh coolant.
- 3/6/2016 -- Replaced front and rear shocks with OEM quality replacements (Sensen) and bump stops
- 4/2/2016 - Tire discounters "Lanny Alignment" -- specifications per miata.net
- 4/23/2016 -- NGK R "V-Power" spark plugs, NGK wire set, and Fel-Pro valve cover gasket
.
I also installed Garage Star delrin door bushings which solidly locks the door into place allowing it to better reinforce the chassis. I still have the original door bushings and will include. The center console plastic living hinge was replaced with an aluminum hinge, a common fix on the forums. The tires were replaced in January by the previous owner and have <800 miles on them. They are the 195/55/15 "Road Hugger GT" and were purchased at Discount Tire. The car also received an oil change and new accessory belts at 67,0xx miles.
The car does not burn or leak any oil, tracks straight on the road, clutch does not slip, and has no rust, including around the fenders. The body and engine bay are incredibly clean. A/C and heat both function well. When the valve cover gasket was replaced in April the internals of the engine received a visual inspection and appeared clean and in great condition.
The paint is in excellent shape, but the car does have a couple minor door dings on the driver's side. The driver's side mirror has a scrape/yellow mark. The soft top has two small cracks at a crease where it folds, but is otherwise in good shape. The cracks don't leak water and could easily be patched. I also have a new soft top that is being sold separately. The driver's seat has a single, 1" crack.
I live in Columbus, Ohio, but the car is being stored in a family members garage in Delaware, Ohio. I am happy to meet a prospective buyer to look over the car. Message me with any questions or to set up a time.Car can be shipped, but buyer will need to arrange and at buyers expense. I have described the car to the best of my ability, butno warranty is expressed or implied. Sale is final. I would encourage local buyers to view the car in person. If you have any additional questions message me and I would be happy to call.
