2002 Mazda MX-5 Miata SE Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $!49 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2002 Mazda MX-5 Miata Special Edition. The Mazda Miata has an excellent reputation as one of the last pure sports cars on the market. They are reliable and an absolute blast to drive. I would rate the exterior of this Miata to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking roadster. It is finished in gray with a black top over black and brown leather interior, which is a great color combination. The gray finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific MX-5, there is really nothing bad to report...just a few normal signs of age. The body panels all line up nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. There are a few normal bubbles under the paint on the left rocker. The factory 16" alloy wheels have a few blemishes but are acceptable for their age and mileage. Tire tread is average all around. The soft top looks good. All of the glass and lenses are intact. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Miata to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age. The brown leather sport seats are deeply bolstered and do an excellent job at holding you in place. The seats show some wear, but look good for their age. The brown leather inserts in the door cards really tie the seats into the interior. The dash is clean, too. The power windows and locks work properly. The right mirror works but the left mirror doesn't...but you can easily just stick your hand out and adjust it to suit you. The factory audio system has been upgraded with a Kenwood CD player. It also has USB and auxiliary inputs. It is still playing through the originao BOSE speakers and sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. It's a little too cold to tell whether or not the air conditioner is being effective but I can tell you that the heater works very well. The trunk is clean. The original "Special Edition" floor mats and the matching brown leather convertible top cover are included. Mechanically, this Miata appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 1.8L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. This little Miata is an absolute blast to drive. She handles like she's on rails and is very easy to drive. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The engine makes good power and feels strong. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the six speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. If I'm being picky, there is a slight vibration in the steering wheel up around 80-sih...but it's not bad. My guess would be an out of balance wheel. If you're looking for a fun roadster that is affordable to buy and affordable to own, very few things can match a Mazda Miata. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
