2004 Mazda MX-5 Miata Description
It's time for me to focus on my business and stop playing with cars.
This means that your new-to-you 2004 Mazdaspeed MX-5 with 49,000 miles is now available. These shipped from the factory with a number of upgrades over regular Miatas (factory turbo for more power, Bilstein suspension, 17" wheels, unique interior trim). This one also has leather seats.
Please note that while the pictures all show the aftermarket 6ul wheels they're not going with the car- instead, the car comes with the stock 17" wheels with new tires.
This particular Mazdaspeed MX-5 (aka MSM) has leather seats and has been upgraded to address the quirks that these cars left the factory with.
The upgrades include:
Flyin' Miata intercooler, turbo inlet, and bypass valve
Bell Engineering air intake and ECU refresh
RX-8 Injectors (cleaned and flow tested)
DW200 fuel pump
All stock parts are also included.
There's also a Boss Frog roll bar with proper SFI padding for added safety.
Proactive maintenance that's been done includes tranny, diff, and brake fluid changes, new cam and crankshaft angle sensors, new spark plugs, and new coil packs. It runs and drives beautifully.
It's been obsessively cared for with regular oil changes with premium filters and a quality synthetic oil. It's got a Fumoto valve to make oil changes easy to DIY and I'll include the stash of oil filters I've stockpiled for it. Also comes with both keys/fobs, original window sticker, two folders full of receipts, original manual in original cloth case, and a Mazda factory service manual.
This car has averaged less than 4000 miles a year since new, spent it's first 33k miles in Virginia and North Carolina, and has been taken off the road for each winter it's been up here. The body and paint aren't perfect, but are in great shape for a thirteen year old car. Where I'm aware of a body flaw I've either circled it or drawn an arrow to it in yellow.
No joyrides. If you're interested, you can check it out from the passenger seat for a test ride and then drive it all you want after you've paid for it. I'm happy to facilitate having it inspected at the mechanic of your choice on receipt of your deposit.
