Nicknamed "Screaming Mimi," this car was bought in 2010 as a project car with 137k miles. Restoration over next 4 years included belts, alternator, valve gasket, exhaust line and catalytic converter, brake rotors and pads, windshield, battery, headlights, AC repair, replaced radiator, replaced struts and tie rod ends, ball joints replaced, timing belt and water pump (at 190000 miles). Extensive body work and custom paint scheme (red with black modified SS stripes on hood/trunk). No rust. Car is true to it's original look, with addition of Hard Dog roll bar, larger andwider 15" K1 racing wheels with P195/55R15 tires, JVC AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo. New headrest (Clearwater)- and door-mounted (Pioneer)speakers. Some wear evident on edge of driver's seat, and on leather steering wheel. New Robbins Premium Cloth top installed in 2016. Color-coordinated manual hard top included (small irregularity on rear window glass). The original 14" wheels and tires are also included.
This is no garage queen! Over the past seven years it has been a pleasure to drive in all types of weather and is responsive in all conditions. Of course, it's real personality comes out when you drop the top on a sunny afternoon and delight in the simple pleasure of a curvy road through the countryside! The pop-up lights give Mimi a distinctive look that always turns heads and leaves the driver grinning from ear to ear! Last year, we took Mimi on a 12 day road trip from central PA to Nova Scotia...a real dream trip! We had plenty of space for luggage and two adults, and the car seemed to motor enthusiastically along the Cabot Trail and the Canadian back roads.
This is an easy car to own, and a reliable, fun vehicle to drive!
Selling with NO RESERVE!
NOTE** The Experian Auto Check is showing a possible problem with the vehicle exceeding the mechanical limits of the odometer. This is NOT the case! The actual odometer reading is show in the photos, and has never exceeded the mechanical limits of the gauge. The car has been registered, licensed, and emissions checked in PA since I bought it in 2010.
