I am reluctantly putting my AMG up for auction. I have a new car on the way, and already have more cars than garage space. I would like to sell now before my new car arrives ina couple weeks. 2002 SLK32 AMG - this is a true AMG with the full drivetrain ( factory 349hp ) not just a standard SLK230 or SLK320 with a body appearance pkg.
first off, let me start by saying that hopefully you already know what an AMG is. If by chance you don't, let me say that AMG is the "high performance" division of Mercedes. AMG is to Mercedes, what Shelby is to Ford.

This particular AMG is a 2002 SLK32. The SLK32 was only produced from 2002 - 2004 and according to most accounts,only 5 or 6,000 were ever produced, andduring those 3 years only a couple thousand were ever imported into the US. It is sure to be a future collectible. This is a convertible with a retractable hardtop that works flawlessly. The entire hardtop folds and retracts into the trunk in just 20 seconds. If you should put the top up or down in a busy area, you are likely to have onlookers, as people can't resist watching as the windows roll down, the trunk opens up, the top folds in half and then disappears into the trunk - all with the push of one button.
This car is well optioned. It has all the standard Mercedes amenities like full power, heated seats,climate control, traction control, headlight washers, keyless entry, built in garage door opener, etc., but it also has premium options like HID headlights. this SLK sold new fornearly $60,000.
This car was Certified Pre - Owned through Mercedes, which means that it was thoroughly inspected and all scheduled maintenance was performed by Mercedes Benz.
Absolutely every option on this car works as it should, including ice cold AC. The interior is immaculate, the body is in near perfect condition, with only a few rock/bug chips on the paint. The tires and brakes are in excellent condition, as is the original AMG performance exhaust. It is easy to see that the prior owner took great pride and care of this car. With an extremely low (approx.) 66,700 miles on the odometer, the car drives like new ! As you can see from the pics., I have all of the original paperwork and documentation with the car. For those of you who live in a State that does not require a front license plate..... I was very careful in adapting a front bracket that did not require drilling into the nose, so you can remove the bracket and the nose will still be perfect.
As for the drivetrain, pleasegoogle thevehicleto see what the experts say..... It has supercharged 3.2 liter V-6 that produces 349hp from the factory, and a 5 speed automatic that can be shifted manually. This little Mercedes (which is the size of a Miata) will literally outperform some of the baddest late model American Muscle Cars on the road today (think - power to weight ratio).
this car is in excellent condition, but understand that it is a 14 year old used vehicle with 66,700 miles, and will have the expected wear of a vehicles its' age.
