2003 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Brabus Description

Selling a rare SL500 Brabus. $22K OBO. This car is not easy to find with the Brabus mods and I have yet to see another one like it. I am the second owner after a family friend who was car collector and paid over $100k new for this. I've since used it as my daily commuter for the past 3 years and it is unfortunately time for a 4-door:( The car has all the Brabus mods from the exhaust, suspension, 20" wheels, body kit, underbody lighting down to the door locks. It has distronic (which paces/brakes with cars in front of you while cruising on the freeway), active body control hydraulic suspension (for maintaining smooth ride without body roll and also raises and lowers at touch of a button), and many features ahead of its time for 2003. It drives beautifully and has been professionally maintained. It is not due for next service for 7k miles. I have replaced all the common mechanical issues that arise with any SL500 over 10 years old or with 60k miles or more. This includes: new hydraulic pump for the ABC system (very pricey), new gear shift assembly (they commonly lock up), new AT conductor plate, crankshaft position sensor, dual mufflers, I have also replaced the transmission fluid and all the hydraulic fluid within the past 3 months. These maintenance items are thousands of dollars, so if you are looking at other SLs in same year/mileage range and they haven't performed these things...do your research because its only a matter of time. Also, the tires are only a year old and the paint/interior has only small minor blemishes. This is the best body style of the SL in my opinion. I get comments all the time about the Brabus and it still turns heads all the time.
