1979 Mercedes Benz 240D .. Absolutely pristine, one of the best anywhere. 160,000 Original miles with all of that being accumulated by the "little old lady" original owner in CA. I picked it up from her sister a couple of months ago to keep it in my garage, but unfortunately I have to let it go due to financial reasons. The car was purchased by her from CALSTAR MBZ back in 1979 and she barely drove the car... Especially during the last 3-4 years due to her age. The car was always serviced by CalStar. It truly is a beauty and gets attention everytime I drive it. I would say the paint is all original. It still maintains its shine. The interior is simply immaculate except for the 4 cracks in the dashboard as you can see in the pictures (although it was garaged all its life). The engine and transmission run unbelievably well. The A/C also works and blows cold air. It still has the original BLAUPAUNKT Stereo with a Cassette Player which works perfectly. The interior is as immaculate as the exterior... if not more! You won't believe how clean the leather, seats dashboard and the trunk are for a 37 year old car. It also still has the original First Aid Kit. Everything works perfectly as it should. The only disclosure worthy to note is the quarter sized rust at the bottom leftside of the car... Behind the rear left wheel at the bottom. Other than that, this car is truly a keeper. This model is one of the very few that are known to last close to 1 million miles.
