This SL600 was serviced on a cost-no-object basis at authorized Mercedes dealers since it was delivered new in 2004 all the way into 2016! It just received a full inspection and got everything it needed, and now needs nothing but a new owner….you! This SL600 is in excellent condition from the massive 19” AMG wheels with brand new tires, to the new wiper blades, to its original paint and body panels. This is not that car. You do NOT want to shop for an SL600 based on the lowest price, trust me. There are only two types of SL600’s; ones that already HAD expensive repairs/maintenance done, and ones that are GOING to need expensive repairs/maintenance done. Trust me when I say you want the car that’s already had all the work done, like this one, so you can take advantage of a car that needs nothing because the owner before you already spent all the money! This is a car only for a person that wants the best, and that can appreciate this car’s condition and details below. Please understand, with these cars, you get what you pay for. I paid top-dollar to get this car, because it beat every other SL600 I looked at for options, cosmetics, and mechanicals. There are beater SL’s, nice SL’s, and mint SL’s. This one is mint….period. Here's the deal: -- This is a 2005 SL600 in 723 pewter silver metallic over charcoal leather interior, with matching charcoal carpets and alcantara headliner. This SL600 has only 69,xxx original miles, looks like a million bucks, and drives like a million bucks. This car was LOVED, and has NEVER had any paint or bodywork to its metal body panels. In fact, there are hardly any dings, scuffs, or scratches anywhere…it’s in great original shape. -- -- Exterior 9.5 out of 10 (I'm finicky) - Fantastic overall condition original paint, body, glass, and trim. No dings. No dents. Only a few minor thin touched-up scratches or scuffs. This car looks amazing, with a deep shine to the metallic paint that's like looking into an endless mirror. This car has been paint metered and every body panel is original and wears its original paint. This car looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage. Imagine getting a 12 year old with no swirl marks or spider webs in the paint….amazing! -- -- The lower side-body moldings are in great shape. The chrome, rubber, glass, and trim are all excellent and original. No oxidation, fade, wear, rust, etc. Look at the body panels.....they are laser straight. -- -- Here are some more shots with the hard-top in place. No delamination to the window, no tears or pulls or fade to the headliner, the understructure is perfect and new like it should be. -- -- Look how sweet this car is with the soft top or the top down….ready to cruise. -- -- You ready for its service history? EVERY SINGLE THING that needs attention at or around 70K miles on an SL600 has been done already. Worried about the torque converter and transmission after 12 years of V12 power? Well don’t, because this car had both replaced with brand new OEM MB parts at the Benz dealer only 5K miles ago for over $8000! Don’t feel like dealing with the typical 24 spark plugs, both coil packs, and the voltage regulator that these cars usually need between 60K and 70K miles. Done recently, for $3900! Plastic neck cracks on the radiator after 10 years on the road and costs $1500 to replace? Done. ABC pump making noise at 75K and costs $3800 to replace at Benz dealer? Done. Coolant pump? Done. ABC strut? Done. Wiper blades, Mobil 1 oil changes, front brake pads, rear brake pads, front rotors, boost y-hose, trans mount, battery, etc etc etc? Done done done! This car is serviced to within an inch of its life, in both routine maintenance and repairs. There is NOTHING to do except drive. Take any other SL600, even for $5K less than this car, and within a year you’ll spend that $5K savings and more for things that have not been done yet. Not on this car! There’s nothing to do except change oil and put in gas for YEARS. THAT is why you buy this car, an why it’s better than any other SL600 for sale anywhere. Show me another car you’re looking at that has open-checkbook repairs and maintenance at the Benz dealer worth almost $20K in the last 15K miles. You won’t find one. -- -- This SL600 is loaded, with an original MSRP of over $135K! Options include AMG sport package, keyless go, heated/cooled/massage seats, COMAND navigation, bi-xenon headlights, and much more. Wow! -- -- The 19” authentic AMG wheels are in great shape with only a few VERY minor marks, and are a great upgrade from the original 18” AMG wheels. The tires were worn out, but at the BIN price I will include a brand new set of staggered NS-20 performance tires at 255/35/19 up front and 285/30/19 in the rear, with 100% tread remaining. This SL600 also has a fresh alignment and Hunter Roadforce balancing of all four tires. It goes arrow-straight down the road at high speed with no shimmy, pull, or anything else. -- -- Power top operation is perfect of course. -- -- Interior 9.5 out of 10 - The interior overall including all seating and door leather, seat padding, dash, console, wood, and carpets are in great original condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, zero wear of any kind on the leather. Everything looks and feels great. This is not sun-worn southern SL..this car was garaged and it shows. No detailing yet either, this is just after a wash and a vacuum. -- -- The door panels and wood trim are also in great shape (minor wear mark to top of driver’s door panel leather but it’s not torn or anything severe), like the rest of the car. -- -- Even the trunk is mint. -- -- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors/memory/pulse, top motors, and power mirrors work perfectly. Vacuum lock system, COMAND navigation, remote key, xenon/exterior/interior lights all operating as they should. -- -- The HVAC system is fast to respond, and operates perfectly with scalding hot heat and ice-cold A/C. Seat heaters and A/C all working properly. – they should. -- -- Mechanical 10 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong. Transmission is smooth yet very aggressive, and downshifts eagerly. No abrupt engagement, just silky smooth shifts. She runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. There are no leaks....NONE. -- -- This SL600 has passed THREE inspections with flying colors. A pre-purchase overall inspection for cosmetics, and post-purchase for body/frame/mechanical/electrical, and a MB specialist shop inspection as well. It’s now perfect and ready to roll. -- -- Engine is strong and VERY eager to run, transmission smooth and ready to drop down two gears at your command to rocket you past slower traffic. Brakes are solid and pedal feel is firm. ABC suspension is tight like new, no worn tie rod ends, ball joints, struts, or anything else. Steering nicely weighted with no play in the box. ZERO leaks or noises. This car drives and handles like new. -- -- This SL600 comes with books, mats, tools, and its complete MB warranty and service history from 2004 to today.
