Hi, thank you for looking at my beloved Mercedes.
Basic Info;
Title: Clean. I own the car and have the pink slip in hand.3rd Owner. I've owned it since December 2012, or 40,000 miles.CA registration has been paidand is good through 10/31/2017Smog Exempt, 97' was the last year for diesels.Non-TurboInsurance/registration is cheap.156,xxx miles.Avg. mpg 28 mpg [70%City][|][30%Hwy]. It's returned 36.5mpg on I5 @ 70mph, and 70 degrees. Very efficient diesel.Interior is in great condition and everything functions properly.Exterior looks fantastic considering its age.Engine/Drive, all well maintained and problem free.No LeaksSpring perches are free of rust. A common and red flag zone when purchasing a W210Bose Stereo System.If you're looking for a performance car, this isn't it. She's a comfortable-efficient cruiser, not a sports sedan. In fact, if you're looking at this car for a particular reason, then you'd appreciate it. Otherwise to most, it's an underpowered black Mercedes. It takes a certain person to own such a special and interesting car.Overall it's one of the cleanest black W210s you'll find. I've kept it in exceptional condition.
Notable & recent repairs;
I have a file of receipts of genuine parts from AutoHausAZ/Mercedes.
New Glow Plugs & Relay (Bosch) 12-15K miles ago.The top end was rebuilt 12-15K miles ago. This had to be completed because at the time my E300 suffered from the one problem these cars had often experienced, a stuck glow plug, 2 of them! This is a common issue with the OM606 engine (Note: One of the most reliable OM engines) because over time, if left unchanged for too long 50 k+ miles, the glow plugs may become packed in by carbon/soot. So as a responsible Mercedes owner, I had the head removed/disassembled, surfaced, bored, cleaned, and completed all necessary machine work at Del's Machine shop. Once completed, I then installed all new gaskets throughout the top end, (i.e. Headgasket). It's my recommendation that the glow plugs be changed every 30,000 miles as preventative maintenance. It's $100 and 1 hr of easy DIY work versus $1000-3000 for the repairs necessary to remove a broken glow plug.New Water PumpNew Sway-Bar BushingsNew Front End Bushings.New Ball JointsNew Bilstein Touring Shocks installed about 20,000 miles ago.4 New Brake rotors & pads, installed 8-10k miles ago.Viton gaskets from the rear tank all the way to the injection pump.New Die-Hard Battery <1yr.New accessory belt, tensioner, shock, idler pulley installed 5-8k Miles ago.New transmission fluid/filter was replaced 20,000 miles ago. While at it, I installed a new transmission conductor plate.Transmission linkage has been replaced(rubber grommets).Rear-end fluid has been changed. 2013All new door window regulators.Cabin Filter/Carbon Replaced 2013A/C blows ice cold. I installed a new Denso A/C compressor, Expansion Valve, receiver dryer.Everything on the car works great and I've maintained it to the extreme. However, there is one system that recently malfunctioned. The automatic door locking system (using the key fob), has been acting up and now doesn't work. The vacuum still works and can be locked from the door and the alarm will set, but the fob won't lock it. Being that I'm a full-time student with a full-time job, I just haven't had the time to tinker with it.
As the current owner;
I've owned this Mercedes since December 2012 and in that time I've put 40,000 miles on it as a daily-driver, adventurer. I've invested time, love, and blood in making this a special car.
To me, this Mercedes has been an honor to own. It's never left me on the side of the road stranded, not once.
I'd like to offer this Mercedes for sale to a new appreciative owner. Please be respectful anddon't low-ball, I'm open to reasonable offers, but I'm in absolutely no hurry to sell this car.
Thanks again for your interest,
Vin
