1998 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Factory Description

Up for sale is a 1998 E300 Turbodiesel in very good to excellent condition. This car is powered by the legendary OM606 turbo, offering 30+ MPG highway, over 170HP stock, with well-maintained engines boasting over 300k miles without any major service... all with the trimmings and creature comforts of Mercedes' E-series sedans. I purchased the car approximately a year ago, drove it as a daily driver for approximately four months, and have had it in storage most of the time since.I love the car, but have to part with it as I have two other Mercedes projects to fund...
Body and interior show medium-low wear for their age. Several rust spots have been patched on the body; all trim and parts are otherwise still factory original.
The car had been stored outside for a few months before I purchased it with part of the firewall unattached, and there are a few ghosts in the electrical system as a result - I've fixed all that I found, with the exception of the SRS light usually being on (possibly also due to a faulty passenger seat sensor), and the passenger rear window occasionally not running. I did a diesel purge, replaced ABS sensors, replaced fluids and filters, and fixed a few water leaks when I got it, but it has been mostly untouched since.
Car will come with a fresh oil change, VA state inspection, some spare fluids/cleaning supplies/tools in the trunk, and full tank. I'm happy to drive it within approximately 500 miles of Charlottesville, VA for $0.40 a mile, can arrange commercial transport, or will meet for pickup locally... just contact me!
