1996 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Description

For Sale is a 1996 Mercedes E300 Diesel. Car has 128,000 original miles.
Car runs good, however does have a few issues.
The air or fan was blowing and just recently stopped blowing. Mechanic suspected the problem possibly being some sort of module.
The car has always started right up except for once and I had it towed to same mechanic and it started right up for him, no problem. He guessed that it could be a glow plug related issue. That's maybe since I had a buddy replace all of the glow plugs except for one he could not get out. Since it always has started for me even with 5 of the 6 glow plugs being new I've not worried about it much.The rear right side inner door panel has a number of little gouges in the vinyl (see picture).
The instrument cluster works about half of the time. From my research this was a pretty common problem when the W210 was first introduced. The odometer works regardless of the cluster, those are actual miles.
Tires are fair. I would consider replacing them before the rainy season.
Body has a variety of dings and keying scratches along both sides (see pictures).
For a Non-Turbo the car has reasonable power and is very comfortable to drive. It drives straight and true. The seats are in good condition and are not broken.
Usually my daughter drives the car and recently I drove it again. I was re-impressed at how well it does drive.
