2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Base Sedan 4-Door Description

2006 Mercedes Benz E350, Mint Condition
I am a
private owner, not a dealer! I believe this is truly the most beautiful, nice riding, and well equipped Mercedes on the road for the times, and I have been driving them for over 25 years (S class till this). I didn't specify the color because there isn't really one to pick that describes it. You wouldn't call it blue, and you wouldn't call it black. Most people refer to it as a “black” Mercedes, but it isn’t. I tell them to take another look, and they are awed, saying it is the most beautiful deep metallic blue they have ever seen, and really thought it was black. It looks like the richest black you could possibly imagine sometimes when it is darker out, and then it looks like a very deep metallic blue when it is really bright. Just calling it "blue" doesn't do it justice.
This vehicle is so feature rich. It is very unique in that it can have the quiet and softer ride of the S Class Mercedes with its options, or push a button and have the sporty feel known for the C, E class, or SL's.
In essence it uniquely has the comfort of the S class, and the agility of the C & E.
If you need more height to raise the vehicle over snow in the winter, push a button that raises the car. It would be hard for you to find another one like this during the period these were made. And when you drive this vehicle, you will immediately notice a huge difference in it compared to most every other one on the road.
The
upgraded suspension and transmissionare just one of the many things that separate it from the rest of the pack. There are extra features you won't find on any other, and we have yet to see another one just like it in color and options, especially with the unique burled walnut woodon the interior, ever! It is not a brown, mahogany color, almost a gray brown that I have never seen on another one. Even today, it gets compliments almost every time we are out. I drove S class MBZ for 25 years, but fell in love with this one, purchased it, and loved it.
The only two options I know of it doesn't have are two I didn't want; the bigger motor, and all-wheel drive.
This 3.5 Liter engine is a rocket on the road, and will burn them off like a race car taking off if you want. The upgrade to a 5.5 liter would have added horse power I didn't care about after you are already going 80 MPH. And this is still a rocket at 80 MPH passing people, so the extra horses would have just been a waste of gas and more maintenance as far as I was concerned.
As for a four-wheel drive, it does well enough that I didn't want the extra weight and added maintenance. And the car sits low enough to the ground, that if the snow was high enough for it to be a problem, the four-wheel drive would just get you into trouble in deciding to drive through it and damaging the spoilers on the car.
As for looks, it has the
filled-out moldings that surround the car. . .differences you notice when looking at it but can't figure out till you put one right by it side by side. They make it very unique.
While it has approximately 159,000 miles on it, the condition, with all the preventive maintenance repairs that have been done should take you another 100,000 miles down the road without significant expense. It has always been in a climate controlled garage from the time we have owned it, rarely even outside during the day.
One look at the condition of the body no matter where you look; underneath the car, in the engine compartment, the trunk; it looks like new. And unless you know these models, you may think it is a 2017 that you haven't yet seen on the road. We get that all the time. . .someone thinking it must be a 2017 because they have never seen one like it before.
Jack the car up, and
the chassis looks as new as the rest of the car. The engine still looks like it just came off the production line, both from the top, and the bottom. And there are no known leaks, not a one! Feel free to crawl under it, or take it to any mechanic and have them verify everything I am saying in this listing. It is absolutely incredible, and impeccable!
To make sure the car is jacked up correctly when serviced, I am probably the only one in the country that keeps the
MBZ jack padsin the car so when new tires are put on, jacks don't smash things on the bottom of the car. If you are familiar with these cars, there are slots where the special jack pads lock into, and then nothing touches the car but the jack pads when jacked up.
There has easily been $10,000 worth in repairs doneto take it another 100,000 miles. They wouldn't have been done had I known we were going to sell it. But we are empty nesters, and it is a car that isn't serving a purpose anymore. It has never sat outside (always in a climate controlled garage), and I do not have garage space for it.
Before purchasing another 2006 or like MBZ for less money, check them out and make sure they have had the following things done to them.
Each of them have the same issues over time for the most part,And buying one with less miles doesn't mean it is in better condition and will be cheaper to own. It can be quite the opposite considering repairs have already been done to this one.
One of the first things you should do is to put the engine hood up,
start the car, put the car in drive, and put the emergency brake on. Rev the motor and if the engine rotates (the left side lifts up) in the engine bay, it needs new motor mounts at the very least. They are oil filled and go bad, leak, and then do not hold the engine in place, and you can get significant vibration in the steering. This one has new ones and has never had a problem. It is a very expensive repair, and if the engine is rotating much, other issues will probably show up as well.
Before pricing this car, I looked at several of them and drove them. There isn't a comparison in the condition of this one and especially the sound, handling, responsiveness, and feel of the road. It is because of all the things done to this MBZ they most likely need to have done.
Not just one, but all camshaft sensors have been replaced; coolant system (thermostat, etc.), idler pulleys, tensioners, serpentine belt. And as for the suspension, control arms, ball joints, brake disks, sway bar links, control arm bushings, and tie rod ends have been replaced. Even the valve body in the transmission has been replaced since they go bad over time. Catching it early enough can keep a person from replacing the transmission. The brake pads are low dust ceramic that give you superior stopping as well as to keep the wheels looking new.
And aesthetically, before storing the MBZ, I had the road chaff taken out,
so the paint work on the car from front to rear is absolutely impeccable. Even the headlamps (the lenses had chaff marks as well), and the grille are new. It truly does look like a brand-new car from inside out.
Before you come see this Mercedes, take any other on the road for a drive. Then come drive this one. It will be like you found home in the look and feel you are looking for in a car.

No matter how fast you drive, there is no vibration, and you will think you are only going much slower than you really are. And this 3.5 liter, V6 24 valve engine is as good as has ever made.
It is so powerful, again, not that I am advocating it, but it will burn them off at the start. And that is because of making oil changes twice as often as the recommendation of MBZ. Not a single one of the other E-350's I drove still had the power this one has.
A look at the pictures and you will understand what caused me to purchase it.
The combination of the colors, wheels, moldings, panoramic roof, and all aspects give it a unique look on the outside. I am often told it is the most beautiful MBZ they have seen. And these people more often than not hadn't yet seen the interior. That puts the icing on the cake for this beauty.
The extremely rare interior with the
uniquely stained burled Walnut wood, wrapped with polished stainless steelsurrounding it. The blinds that, with a button, go up and down in the rear window to keep the sun off the eyes, and heat out of the interior. It was something I didn't fully appreciate till having it.The dual climate control, the most advanced Navigation system at the time that still looks good today. The Harmon Kardon top of the line stereo with in-the-dash multi-disk CD.
There really isn't anything like this for sale on the road today from 2006. And I am sure the second you see this car and drive it, you feel like you discovered heaven!
I am in the Kansas City area, and would be happy to show it to you anytime.
The car has an extremely clean CarFax and AutoCheck for a car from 2006.
If you read this, I thank you! To me it is the most efficient way of answering all the questions you may have, and then even some you may not have thought of.The car can be seen any time before bidding or purchasing it.

Thank you for your time!
