2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Luxury Sedan Description

This is a listing for a gorgeous, well loved 2002 Mercedes Benz E320 4Matic Sedan (W210) that is truly an extremely professional luxury driver. I purchased the car in May 2015 and have travelled cross country 4 times (NY to SF and LA) and several "jaunts" to Florida as well as local travels on the East Coast. I am a professional surf photographer and it was realized after the last X-country trip that I need to schlepp more equipment than this beauty can handle, so I've purchased an E320 4Matic Wagon (with 220K miles) and make this sturdy, swift and stylish sedan available; we've got too many cars.
Superior maintenance with Mobil 1 oil service every 5-6K miles. This car is in top mechanical condition as I'm fortunate to have a Master MB Tech live around the corner (works at MB of Morristown, NJ) and regular, PROPER service has always been performed. The entire front suspension and front drivetrain moving parts have been replaced within the past year- New springs, drive shafts, wheel bearings and rubber have been replaced. I would not hesitate to drive this car X-country however when I got there I would have the shocks replaced (Left is noisy/Right is leaky) and be aware that the motor mounts are worn; occasionally a little noise and tiny vibration when idling in gear. The front passenger seat pad and SRS module were replaced last year so God-forbid the airbags will deploy. The belt, pulley and tensioner have been changed, recent trans service with all new trans and fuel filters. Newer Bridgestone Ecopia touring tires have plenty of tread left.
Performance-wise this car is quick, fast and economical, basically runs as new. Cruises effortlessly at Autobahn highway speeds. 30+ MPG while cruising at 80 MPH. Going through Utah coming home last time the car ran at 120MPH for nearly an hour while attaining 34MPG; just ridiculous! Handling and road feel is like you're on a track. ALWAYS 93 Octane except when out west cuz they just don't sell it. Comfortable for 3 day shots from coast to coast and always a pleasure to drive! The 4Matic trans is so smooth and all-wheel drive is great in foul weather or on the beach. This car loves to have fun, gets you there swiftly and looks so good doing it all!
There are minor cosmetic issues as you can see in the pictures. There is a 2 inch rust spot on the bottom of the left rear door which has been "stabilized" with a sealer. On the other rear door there is the slightest crease which is barely noticeable. I made it look more noticeable because I'm a pro photographer and I wanted to illustrate the flaw. There are several chips and tiny dings, however at 10 feet this car shows, shines and shimmers with the best. A 1 inch patch of clear coat is peeling on the drivers side roof runner.
The interior is extremely clean yet evidence of a dog from previous ownership is noticed with a few tiny scratches on the passenger front door and dash. The steering wheel has been covered because it must have been worn or chewed by Fido. The sun visors have had the mirror covers removed; the headliner is clean yet coming a little loose from the rear roof pillars. The temperature readout goes dim at times and occasionally the windshield fluid warner will come on- these are known issues with these cars and are a cheap fix if you choose to do so.There are no cracks on the dash, very good wood and the MB Tex leather seats are firm and supple. Everything works. Ice cold A/C, super toasty heat and seats. Nothing better in this superior sports sedan than opening all the windows and roof, lock in the cruise control, let the Bose stereo roar... NICE!!!
2 original keys with fresh batteries, manuals and owners kit. If you've read this far you must be well aware of the legendary W210 durability and build quality. If you are looking for the best creampuff example of this true drivers car (which is one of the last manufactured 210's), this very lovely car is exactly what you've been looking for.
NJ State MVD inspection through 7/18. Clean/clear NJ title. Drive it 300K+ miles AS IT'S MEANT TO!
