1990 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Description

Chapman alarm system working, has non-damaged keypad/fob, also.Nice michelins all around, no cracks in sidewalls, deep tread.New muffler (see picture).Glow plugs operate nicely, car fires up strong in minimum time.Power seats work. All windows work. ALL OF THEM.Turn signals work properly.Side mirrors work marginally, sometimes you have to help them get in a specific spot.Blower motor is strong with no extemporaneous noises (for climate control) Air blows where it is supposed to (vent-wise).A/C compressor belts are on and harness connected, but I have NOT checked the air. I have checked the heat and it is FINE.Safety tinting on all windows = people can't look in easily but not so dark as to garner police attention.
This car runs out very well, but will need some recommended maintenance to continue running as it does now. I drive it daily. It accelerates aggressively. It has a new fuel filter installed. The car is a PERFECT candidate for total restoration (then it can be worth the unreal prices I've seen for this year (90, 91,92) make and model, right here on Ebay. OR YOU CAN LEAVE IT AS-IS and still have a dependable, solid mercedes DIESEL, provided you execute the proper regular maintenance.
Can you drive it home? It depends on how far. I say this because I think the original timing chain is still installed, and these cars should have them changed between 150k and 200k miles. So this one is overdue. I have NOT DONE ANY OF THE MILEAGE-BASED MAJOR MAINTENANCE this 350SDL requires. It runs VERY GOOD RIGHT NOW, but that could change. Mercedes diesel veterans would love this car; do what you're supposed to do with it and maybe get a shot at the elusive 1,000,000 mile mark. Other than the passenger fender, this car is solid as a rock.
You'll get a clear Indiana title when you purchase it. This listing is simple. I have a fairly nice, semi-rare, RUNNING mercedes 350SDL, for those who are familiar with Mercedes-Benz diesel vehicles. I can't recommend this car to a novice diesel driver or 'first car' folks, although they are certainly welcome to buy it. One more thing, folks....
AS-IS, NO WARRANTEE, NO MIND CHANGING, NO BUYER'S REMORSE, ABSOLUTELY NO HAGGLING !!!!! BEING SURE, IS THE CURE! IF YOU'RE NOT SURE, ITS OK, JUST DON'T BUY THIS FROM ME. :-)
Buy this to drive it or buy it to back up your $7,000 to $24,000 SDL (like the ones listed above and below this one). Either way, it'll MORE than fit the bill for whatever usage you choose.
I cannot assist you with shipping, sorry.

THIS STATEMENT MADE IN THE FIRST PART OF THE LISTING HAS CHANGED FROM-- Can you drive it home? It depends on how far. I say this because I think the original timing chain is still installed, and these cars should have them changed between 150k and 200k miles. So this one is overdue. I have NOT DONE ANY OF THE MILEAGE-BASED MAJOR MAINTENANCE this 350SDL requires. It runs VERY GOOD RIGHT NOW, but that could change. NOW IT IS--I had a seasoned diesel mechanic go over the motor, and he opines that the timing chain has been changedbased on evidence he found during his inspection. He says there is evidence of the head gaskets being replaced, newer water pump, and alternator, too. The battery is recent too (900 cold cranking amps) also. He recommended I not sell the car at this low price, based on his inspection.
I did not let him inspect it so as to change my price. I did it just to completely cover the details on this car to the best of my ability, for any buyer's personal advantage. The price stays the same. You decide if you want to change the timing chain or anything else, or not change it. The price remains the same. This is for information purposes only. My husband and I are selling the car because we want a minivan, and only want to have two vehicles. Keeping this one as a 3rd IS an option though; we're not going to just give it away. Hopefully someone out there will recognize this Royal Old Steed for what it is, and make this purchase.
