2001 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Base Description

This is a Mercedes Benz from the era where quality and durability were part of Mercedes design. If you drove one, you know there's nothing like it, feels like sailing a ship. V8 4.3L engine gets you from 0-60 in a little over 5 seconds. Acceleration on this car never fails to impress. You're up to freeway speed before the cars behind you realize there's a car pulling in.
The car drives fine, A/C and heater work, although you might need to spray the system to take care of the smell. Very nice Bose audio system. Tires were replaced a few months ago. Power seats, mirrors, and windows work fine.
Low mileage at 165,000.
It got rear-ended, so the rear bumper is damaged on the right side, there is also damage to the trunk so the trunk is jammed and cannot be opened. The impact extended into a dent in the rear right quarter panel as well. The back lights and lamps were not damaged.
The paint has scratches throughout, and the front bumper was spray-painted with black paint by an act of street vandalism. The leather in the seats is scratched and cracked, the driver seat cushion is torn. That's why I put seat covers. The front left speaker cover behind the wheel is missing as well as the covers for the mirrors under the visors. There is a small oil leak. I fixed most of it by replacing some gaskets, but it leaks a little bit still, so you would need to periodically add oil, or fix the leak. The SRS light button is illuminated in the center console, I'm not sure why. EPS warning light comes on once every few months, but my mechanic said it's nothing to worry about. The electronic stability system on this car is working fine, saved me quite a few times in rain and ice on freeways.
