2002 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class Coupe Description

Up for sale is a 2002 SLK230 that has been well taken care of and runs great despite its high mileage and has a clean title. Lots of new parts, but also needs lots of work (cosmetic) and a good home with someone willing to put in the time to make her beautiful again. This car is perfect as a project or as a parts car as there are many new parts on it you can use. I'm selling because I don't have the time to continue maintaining or it or the space to keep it, so it has to go to a new home.
This car will not pass California smog due to the computer not resetting properly. I haven't taken it to a mechanic to find the problem, but it has NO check engine light or any drivability issues. It might just need to be driven for a longer time. But you will have to make sure it passes smog to keep it in California (or register as non-op, or take out of state).
The car does need body work. Mainly the drivers side rear fender, which was caused by a minor incident that I never got to repairing. The passenger side front fender also has faded paint (possibly defect from Mercedes), and the front bumper needs to be repaired from years of driving.
