2011 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 Description

2011 Mercedes Benz 3500 Sprinter, high roof, 144" wheelbase, low miles.
Covered under extended warrantee (thru 84,000 miles or August 2016).
This unique Sprinter was ordered as a 3500 van, so it can haul just about anything and has a towing capacity 7,500 lbs. The Mercedes factory added the windows, headliner, window and roof trim, floor anchors and seats - essentially turning it into a dually passenger van. In addition to those upgrades (>$1000), they added all the lighting, security, and comfort packages below, including most importantly the high capacity rear air conditioning system - over $11k more in added features!
Tires are Continentals, new in front, the rears have 10-15k miles left on them (they wear slowly). A few very small dings and scratches around the body if you look closely. Some scuffs and minor interior scrapes and tears on the interior vinyl surfaces (First owner hauled antiques around without securing them apparently, though nothing serious or unsightly).
Overhead, we added surfboard racks which can carry up to six large boards or anything else that's of similar size and weight.. They're very handy to secure boards inside keeping them out of the wind and rain. Racks are easily removed as needed.
Bed options: We are selling the van with a queen sized, memory foam bed which fits comfortably in the back. Platform built upon a sturdy plywood frame - can easily be disassembled and stored in minutes. For a more permanent option, the van has been set up to bolt on side rails which support aluminum cross members such that the top of the mattress is flush with the bottom of the windows. This creates a bed option which is higher, runs the full width of the van, and provides much more storage underneath yet with ample head room even with surfboards overhead. This bed setup is not included in the sale as we've moved this setup to another van, but replicating this design is easy, fast, and relatively cheap (about $150 in materials apart from the mattresses).
