An opportunity to own a rare and unique Mercedes Benz Although Mercedes never sold the gas powered B-Class in the United States, some Canadian versions were also certified for US and California, at least for the 2006 and 2007 model years. This vehicle was purchased by my father in Vancouver, Canada brand new in 2007. I acquired it from him a few months before he passed away in 2013 and brought it home to California with me. Certification stickers for US DOT and California were not originally affixed to the 2007 model year B-Class by Mercedes. After confirming compliance with Mercedes Benz, the California Air Resources Board granted certification (see photos of the sticker) and allowed it to be registered in California. I believe that it can be registered in any state with the California emissions certification. As far as I know, there are only 2 legally registered gasolineB200s in California and about 6 in the United States. The car is in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. The car has been meticulously maintained since new. There are a few minor nicks on the paint and the driver's side seat shows some minor creasing (see photos). The car is completely original except for maintenance items.I can send detailed records to any interested buyer on request. Tires were new at 60595 miles, Pirelli P7 with 90000 mile rating. They are rotated regularly. Oil changes approximately every 5000-7000miles with full synthetic oil. Other recent service: brake pads at 69000 miles, new spark plugs at 45000 miles, coolant flush and refill, new thermostat at 60000 miles, transmission service at 73800 miles, left front outer CV joint replaced (after rubber boot was damaged and leaked) at 74,500 miles. Wheel alignment at 74500 miles. Maintenance parts have been relatively easy to come by. Items such as brake pads, filters, brake sensors are available from various online retailers. Many parts are common to other Mercedes models. Other parts can be purchased from Mercedes Benz dealers. I think some of the more rare parts have to shipped to the dealer from Germany, but I haven't had to test that out. I have the complete Mercedes Workshop Information System DVDs for repair, service and part number information.
