1990 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 350 SDL Description

No ReserveHow does it run/accelerate? She E A S I L Y does 100mph on the highway. That's about as fast as I have cared to go. Even then she had a WHOLE HELL OF A LOT OF PEDAL LEFT. She didn't pull, shake or vibrate. This info is about the best I can do for you. Chapman alarm system working, has non-damaged keypad/fob, also.
Nice michelins all around, no cracks in sidewalls, deep tread.
New muffler (see picture).
Glow plugs operate nicely, car fires up strong in minimum time.
Power seats work. All windows work. ALL OF THEM.
Turn signals work properly.
Side mirrors work marginally, sometimes you have to help them get in a specific spot.
Blower motor is strong with no extemporaneous noises (for climate control) Air blows where it is supposed to (vent-wise).
A/C compressor belts are on and harness connected, but I have NOT checked the air. I have checked the heat and it is FINE. GREAT in this weather!!!!
Safety tinting on all windows = people can't look in easily but not so dark as to garner police attention.
I had a seasoned diesel mechanic go over the motor, and he opines that the timing chain has been changed based on evidence he found during his inspection. He says there is evidence of the head gaskets being replaced, newer water pump, and alternator, too. The battery is recent too (900 cold cranking amps) also. Its starting on the first crank (barely a bump of the key/starter, after glow plug lights go off). It tracks through the snow just fine, because of its weight/heavy rear axle/diesel torque.
You can trust dear old Aunt Bee! Like the Mayberry one, she's Older, Big but Luxurious, White with some Gray, Accommodating, and she can REALLY COOK!!!! (On the Highway).
