This 1990 Mercedes SL500 Roadster Convertible has 104K on the odometer and a Clean Carfax Report with No Accidents. (click the carfax logo below to view the history report) I test drove this Mercedes SL500 for over 50 miles and it performed really nicely. The vehicle has a solid battery and starts up everytime without any issues. There are no warning lights lit on the dashboard whatsoever. The transmission shifts perfectly smoothly throughout all gears which I demonstrate during the YouTube video above. The motor and exhaust sound great which I also show in the video. (Please see the youtube video for a full walkthrough of any and all body damage and a test drive) The wheel alignment is also straight and the wheel does not pull to one side or the other while driving whatsoever. The brakes are also very effective and safe which I give several examples of during the test drive. The suspension also feels great and there are no odd noises or sounds while driving whatsoever. The engine bay is super clean and well maintained which I show in the pictures. The interior features: Power Windows, Power Locks, Power seats, Leather Seats, Power Mirrors, Aftermarket CD Player, Am/Fm Radio, Cruise Control, ABS, and much more..ALL of which is working inside the car. I could not test the A/C effectively because of the temperature here so I am going to say that the A/C is not blowing ice cold. The heat definitely is working. All of the interior/exterior lights and signals are working including the fog lights. The interior is in good shape overall considering the year and mileage on the car. The control panels that control the power seat movements are loose, however the controls are working and have been tested (these can be easily glued into place). The carpets are in good shape throughout which you can see in the pictures/video. The factory floormats are included in the trunk. The seats do have some obvious damage, especially the drivers seat cushion and backrest in which the leather and cushioning have some damage. The passengers side seat also have a rip in the leather which I point out. All of the compartments open/close as they should. The exterior is also in good overall shape for the year and mileage. The clearcoat is fully intact on the paint and the paint looks great. There are no faded or sun damaged areas of paint. There are a couple minor blemishes on the paint which I point out in great detail in the YouTube video and the pictures. The power convertible top does work as I demonstrate in the YouTube video, however I did have to press the button twice during the cycle to get it to finish the open procedure and the same for the closing procedure. There are a two holes in the convertible top and two other spots that have been patched using a rubber patching solution. These spots are in the same spots on opposite sides where the metal folding arms of the top rubs on the canvas/plastic rear window sections. These areas can be fixed with some upholstery work or simply by using the rubber sealant solution that was used by the previous owner. There is also a section on the rear which the canvas is slightly off the metal frame however it does not seem that this section would cause any leakage whatsoever. Please note: These spots have been covered from the elements since we purchased the car and the holes were exposed for the video and pictures. There is a wiper blade missing which we will replace as mentioned in the video. The wheels are alloy and look great overall as shown in the pictures. The all matching Continental Tires look great and have a great deal of treadlife remaining as you can see for yourself. All fluids in the engine bay are filled to proper levels.
