1997 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sport Description

This car runs and drives well. It needs some attention with the following though ...
- oil leak. Drips on exhaust.
- power steering leak. Looks like from a fitting on the steering gearbox.
- has cosmetic issues. Rust bubble in a couple places. Body work on passenger rear door is coming off. -Replacement same color door is included. Other random nicks and dings on the body.
- ceiling liner is sagging. This is pretty common with this body style
- sometimes the shifter being in park does not register with the safety starter switch. You either have to shift it out of park then back or put it in neutral in order to start the car. Probably adjustment.
- the original gauge cluster has been replaced with a used one that shows 180k miles. Original is included with 164k miles. The original has an issue that causes a few of the gauges to not work. I am told this can be fixed by someone that is handy with electronics.
- wiper washer does not work
The good--
- runs well. No smoking. No overheating. Powerful.
- transmission works great. No harsh shifting. No slipping.
- all power windows work
- brakes are good
- tires have good tread
- it has a Mercedes phone. Bonus! Not sure it could be put into service but.
- all windows work
- VA inspection due in March.
