Mercedes Benz 300 D-Turbo. Vintage midnight Blue.
1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Description
A really nice vintage 1985 300 D Turbo in Good condition. Exterior is very clean with no rust dents or dings. Interior is descent. The dash only has a couple of very small cracks. The seats have no tears or rips. The car has 167,000 original miles and has been well cared for with regular oil changes. I had all service records but car was broken into about 1.5 years ago and the leather billfold that housed them was taken. I have some from the past yearThe Good: Brand new ignition assembly, Brand new Battery, Brand new rear tires, Brakes done 5 months ago, Glow plugs done about 9 mths ago, Car starts right up and runs strong. A serious head turner even here in HollywoodThe Bad: AC doesn't work as is generally the case with these. I have not tried to fix it and could be something simpleRear axl should be replaced. There is a rattle that comes from the rear due to the axl. Had my mechanic check it out and he said the car is fine and axl will hold up but Its annoying and should be replaced. $400 job and the price reflects thisThe Ugly: nothing ugly about her!Fun Fact: This car came hot off the press from the factory in Germany and drove around Europe for a bit and then was shipped back to California as part of a promotion that MB had back in 1985. This is reflected by the emblem on the grille. The car spent most of its 32 years in San Juan Capistrano where I purchased the car from the second owner.Spoiler Alert: The lovely Nardi wheel featured in one or two of the photos is no longer part of the car but I do recommend you get another one. You do get everything else
