2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class -- Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BFEORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2002 Mercedes-Benz C320 wagon. I would rate the exterior of this C320 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a great looking wagon. She is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over Charcoal leather interior, which is a classic color combination. The silver finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and blemishes commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be pretty hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this C320...especially considering the age and mileage. All of the trim and cladding is present and looks good. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. What is most noteworthy about the exterior of this Mercedes is the lack of body rust...which is something these cars are known for. The previous owner clearly took excellent care of this C320. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a proper set of Michelin's with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this C320 came in. I would rate the interior of this C320 to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The carpets are clean and show well throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated. The leather seats are clean and comfortable with minimal wear visible. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The factory audio system appears to be working properly and sounds good. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature settings for the driver and passenger. It is too cold to verify that the air conditioner is working properly, but I don't suspect any issues. I can personally verify that the heater works properly. The cargo area is spacious and clean, The original rolling cargo cover and partition are still intact, too. Mechanically, this C320 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The big 3.2L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks, although I suspect the valve covers leak, and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. You can feel a little wear in the front bushings, which is common at this age. The suspension feels tight and well sorted, otherwise. Steering and braking feel good, too. Aside from the supercharged AMG engine, which was not available in the U.S. as a wagon, the 3.2L V6 was the top-of-the-range engine offered in the C-Class. It offers generous power and is very reliable. The engine in this C320 keeps proper temperature and feels very strong, yet provides impressive fuel economy. Other than an ABS light, there have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all the gears with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. If you're looking for a well cared for Mercedes wagon, this C320 deserves your consideration. Good wagons are hard to find as most end up getting used pretty hard. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
