Included is a one-of-a-kind Mercedes fire truck from the volunteer fire department in Aichkirchen, Austria. Having been always garaged, this truck is in excellent condition and has extremely low mileage at approx 15,000 KM (around 10,000 miles) as indicated. I have used it for fun, 4th of July parades, and picnics - it always draws a crowd. It has operating blue emergency lights on top as well as a working siren and searchlight. Interior could be converted to camper, utility usage, or just about anything as it is very spacious. Custom wheels from Stockton Wheels with oversize tires (all original wheels and Continental tires also come with vehicle). Note that the original wheels are duals on the rear, whereas the new custom wheels are singles on the rear but with a wider profile tire. All doors and windows operate normally. VIN number is 30941510575209 which is a European origin number but accepted here (currently titled here in Florida as a normal vehicle). Engine is a solid Mercedes OM314 diesel truck engine with 3.78 liter displacement, and starts almost immediately. This model diesel does not use glow plugs. Transmission is a 5-speed manual model with a very low first gear, so starting out in second gear is normal. Clutch and brakes all work fine. Both batteries are new (chassis is 24 volt, and includes a factory battery disconnect switch). Exhaust brake is activated by pedal on floor below driver seat. Heavy duty pintle type trailer hitch by Rockinger. One of the two fog lights has a missing cover (visible in one of the pictures). Original fire truck outfitting was done in 1983 by Rosenbauer in Austria. All fire equipment has been removed but some compartments and signage remain. Both rear sides of vehicle have large fire department style roll-up doors - I always thought these doors would be a great way to serve beer and bratwurst at the local Oktoberfest!. Overall, this truck is very clean and ready to go! I have had lots of fun in the 10 years since I imported this Feuerwehr but I am on to other projects now.
