1968 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 230 Description

I am selling a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 230. Also known as a Mercedes "Fintail," this car is in great condition with only 106,000 original miles. It has a 6-Cylinder gas engine with 4-Speed manual trans. It was just painted Horizon Blue (Mercedes color #304)--an original color for this model year--and has blue interior.

The car will start and drive without any problems.It isvery fun to drive andcruises down the highway with no difficulty maintaining high speeds. The dash cluster and steering wheel make you feel like you are operating something special, and you will get a steady flow of compliments whenever you drive it. I spent $6k over the past three months giving it whatever it needed and getting it ready to sell and have all receipts. I thoroughly enjoyed working on this car. The following service and parts are brand new (within the last three months):

fuel pump; clutch disc, pressure plate and all bearings are new; clutch master cylinder; clutch slave cylinder; new radiator core; brake wheel cylinder; battery (optima bluetop); steering stabilizer; transmission shifter linkage bushings; new radial tires; fuel tank and fuel lines boiled, cleaned repaired and lined; spark plug wires; spark plugs; push button starter switch added beneath dash; new chrome sill/rocker panel molding; dash pad; air filter; oil change; brake and clutch fluid replaced; transmission oil replaced with Dextron Synthetic ATF; differential fluid replaced with synthetic 75/90; coolant flushed and refilled with new 50/50 mix; blown fuses replaced; engine detail

The beauty is its simplicity; manual door locks and windows and no relentless beeping when you do not wear your seat belt. Also no issues like later models that have vacuum leaks or problems with heater vents not opening, nor the cost of fixing them

The interior is light blue like the car. It is comfortable, in good condition and matches the car nicely
