1978 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Base Sedan 4-Door Description

Up for auction is a 1978 Mercedes 300D. I bought this car in October 2015 and daily drove it until March 2016 when one of the valves broke in half and caused the engine to run on 4/5 cylinders. Currently the some components around the camshaft are dismantled and in the trunk in attempts to retrieve mend the damaged valve.
The seats aren't too bad, with the only tear being on the upper driver's seat from siding in and out of it (see photo #8). All 5 tires are in great shape and matching, they were purchased new just a month before I purchased the car, so they technically only have 7 months of drive time on them.
Please take note of the body damage seen in photo #5, the cracked dash and worn wood trim on dash.
This car could use some good TLC, or also has a few good parts left for spares for your car.
