Brimming with beauty and powered for performance this 450SLhas only 89,000 Original miles since new and is in exceptional condition.
It has had one owner over the past 16 years who used it seasonally at his vacation home in Palm Springs, California.
It was always garage stored and dealer serviced.
It is both an extremely pretty car as well as very reliable.
The Silver Blue Exterior paint (one repaint) is gorgeous with laser straight panels and incredible body panel fit in every area.
Combine that with the luxurious Tan Interior and a Dark Blue Convertible top andyou have a rare and desirable color combination!
Please note that the Original Hardtop for the car is available but would need to be shipped from his other home at a cost of an additional 1000.00 to the successful bidder if they were to wish to have it as well.
The exterior trim is likewise in very nice shape.
The Glass is all in great shape and it even appears to have its Original front windshield ...Benz issue.
The soft top appears to be original to the car and is in tremendous shape testifying to the care this car has received....even the rear plexi window is in great shape!
The Wheels are Factory issue and a couple have some peeling and it would be a nice touch to have them refinished.
The Interior has every appearance of originality and remarkably so.
It shows very little wear or abuse.
The gauges all work as they should.
Even the clock is still ticking away!
A modern radio was installed for better stereo quality.
The driveline as mentioned is all original to the car.
There are no signifcant leaks of any nature.
The Engine compartment is very clean and tidy showing pride of ownership and maintenance.
The AC system was serviced a few years back...checked for leaks and everything was fine but it does need a charge as its not cold.
It runs our beautifully, great acceleration, handles fantastic, starts and idles perfect and in general is just a please to drive and be seen in.
The 450SLis an iconic Classic and we have seen sharp increases in value on the highly restored models recently so this Convertibleacts as a tremendous investment and a quality car for any enthusiast.
