For sale is a 2012 Mercedes Benz E350 two door coupe with less than 55,000 miles. I won't go in to all of the options and features as the original window sticker is shown above. This is a one owner vehicle - we bought it new from McGeorge Mercedes Benz in Richmond, VA in early July, 2012. This was kept in a heated and cooled garage since day one. It was carefully driven by a mature lady (my wife!) in her mid to late fifties so it hasn't been dogged. The original set of tires was replaced at 49,672 miles back in September, 2016, so you can tell by the tire mileage, the car has been gently driven. It has 5000 miles on the new set now. Apic belowshows the tread that is left on the tires. With gentle driving, you should make it to 90-100k miles before you need new ones.
All service has been done by the original Mercedes dealer. We've had normal maintenance done at the recommended intervals and I am glad to say that we have had no issues with the engine, transmission, suspension, rear end, etc.I have allof the service receipts show that regular maintenance was performed. If you'd like to see them, email me and I can scan them in and email them to you. The brakes are in good shape with no mushiness, vibration in the brake pedal or other issues. The steering is tight and there is no shimmy in the steering wheel. The engine runs smoothly and accelerates without any hesitation or knocking and doesn't burn any oil. I have never had to add any oil between the 10,000 mile oil changes. The transmission shifts smoothly with no jerking or slippage between gear changes.
This is not a brand new vehicle so please expect normal wear and tear. The front end and hood look amazingly good with only a few rock chips. The "Diamond White" is a good looking color on this car especially with the panorama black tinted roof. The color is a "pearlized" bright white (not the pearlized off white or cream color like you see on an Escalade) and is really sharp (it ought to be for $1515.00 !) The car has never been wrecked or dented and has not had any body work or paint work - everything is original - even the windshield has never had a rock chip! There are no dings on the sides as my wife parks her cars away from others to avoid this. The front end has never hit a curb or concrete curb stop in a parking lot (I learned that years ago!). It has been regularly washed and waxed - mostly by me, but she has had it done by a detailer if I'm too busy at work. It may have gone through an automatic car wash a handful of times, but I try to keep that to a minimum to protect the paint. If you've ever driven a car with low profile wheels like this one, it is very easy to get some curb rash on the rims. Three of the AMG rims have no curb rash. The passenger's side front has three or four places that have curb rash and they aren't that bad - take a look at the pic. (I wish I could say that only one of the rims on my Panamera has curb rash.) It looks like there may be some clear coat on the wheels that may be peeling, but it is barely noticeable but I did want to mention it for full disclosure.
The interior is in excellent condition. The only noticeable wear on the leather is the driver's side seat bolster which is typical for a car with this mileage. As you can tell from the passenger's seat and rear seats, my wife has driven the car alone 99% of the time. I don't think anyone has even sat in the back seat! There is one nick on the center console in the rear and an indentation in the leather in the driver's side rear seat (I took pics of those so you could see how small it is). The leather was not penetrated but it looks like the corner of something made the indentation. My children are grown and out of the house so no kids have trashed the car. (You won't find any french fries or fruit loops under these seats!) The car is pet-free and smoke-free. My wife bought some Mercedes rubber floor mats that were made for the E350 (like Weather Tech) for the front and back floor boards as she didn't want to get the original carpeted car mats dirty! (So they come with the car as well.)
There is one red flag that I must disclose, butI have not seen. My wife says she has seen this on quite a few occasions lately. A warning light comes on intermittently that says something is wrong with the passenger's side supplemental restraint system. There is no rhyme or reason as to when it comes on. The dealer said it may be a sensor going bad. Since she very seldom drives with someone in the passenger's seat, she just clears the warning light and doesn't worry about it. I drove it from my office to home (+/-25 miles) and it didn't come on. No other warning lights have been an issue.
Unlike most used cars, you very seldom receive everything that came with the car. The spare tire is in the bottom of the trunk along with all accessories including the original MB First Aid Kit. It has the Owner's Manual for the car, the Command Center manual, Voice Control System manual, Maintenance Manual, Service & Warranty manual, Roadside Assistance manual and even the Sirius XM manual! All of this goes in the black leatherMercedes Benz folder. In addition to all of this, It has a CD demo disc for the Harmon Kardon stereo, an unopened mailing from MB about the Mbrace system (think ON STAR from GM) as well as the original 2012 dealer sales brochure. The original window sticker (as you can see) will come with the car as well as all of the dealer service tickets. Both original remotes are included as well. If you can believe that she is this meticulous about the paperwork, I think you get the idea of the condition of the car!
Now you ask, "If this car is so great, why are you selling it?" Well, she usually keeps a car for 5 years or so and then she gets a new one. It's just what she does. Her last one was a 2006 ML350 that we sold to my sister and her husband and it is still going strong 5 years later. I don't see any reason why this E350won't do the same.
If you have any questions about the car, feel free to email and I'll answer them honestly. If you are local or want to have a 3rd party inspection done, I'll be glad to schedule an appointment with your or your inspector.
I just looked at the pix that I included and my photography skills certainly have room for improvement. Rest assured, the car looks much better in person that in these pictures.
Thanks for looking and if this car is of interest to you, you will not be disappointed.
4/2/17 Update. Wife took better pictures and some were replaced!
