1982 Mercedes 300SD .. Turbo Diesel

This is a great looking 1982 Mercedes 300SD Turbo Diesel. This Mercedes has been very well treated and is presently showing 173,119 miles. I believe the exterior color is called Light Ivory with a Dark Walnut interior. We haven't had one of these cars in a long time, and this one is in great shape considering its age.

I'm not as familiar with a vintage Mercedes as an enthusiast might be, but we checked it out and I drove this 300SD around for some errands and I'll tell you everything we know about it: The engine starts very easily and runs well. The transmission shifts firmly which seems characteristic of the old Mercedes diesels we've had. The whole driveline feels very good. The owner recently a complete set of tires which are showing most of their tread and the brakes are in great shape as well. The oil & filter, air filter and fuel filter were all replaced last week. There aren't any service or warning lights on.

All of the power windows, door locks and seats are working. The power sunroof, power mirror, power antenna and stereo are working properly, and the air conditioning blows cold. All of the exterior lights are working properly.

This Mercedes has a great looking exterior. It's not a show car, but it isn't beat up either. This is a good looking classic with the overall patina of a 35 year old vehicle that was used regularly but also well taken care of. There are minor flaws and imperfections but the paint is still glossy and the trim is in good condition. The rockers are solid and there isn't any body rust. This is a nice looking car from all angles.

The interior is also in very nice condition. The seats are in very good condition and not ripped or damaged. The headliner is also tight and in great shape without any damage. The carpeting is clean, fluffy and in great condition without any holes. The top trim on the driver door pane has a small crack, and the vinyl trim around the seat belt adjusters on the two front post is loose. Otherwise the interior trim is also in very good condition. This car was garaged and the interior is not UV damaged. This has been a non-smoker owned vehicle, and there aren't any interior odors or burn marks.

This 300SD is a nice solid classic car, which can be driven and used right away. I don't see any reason why someone couldn't drive this Mercedes anywhere or use it as an everyday driver. We have the clear title in hand.

PAYMENT:

A 10% deposit (minimum $500) is due 24 hours of auction completion. We accept Paypal for the deposit only. The balance is due within seven days. Pickup of the vehicle is within ten days of auction completion.

The acceptable methods of payment are Bank Wire Transfer, Certified Bank Check, Direct Deposit or Cash in person. We do not offer financing. Deposit down payments are non refundable. We do not accept trade ins. Any guarantee offer for this vehicle will be voided if payments are not made according to terms.

WARRANTY:

This vehicle will be sold AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied by the seller. However, the buyer will be offered the option to purchase an additional Extended Service Warranty for all applicable vehicles.

The title is guaranteed to be free and clear. There will be no liens or encumbrances on the title. The stated odometer reading is within +/- 500 miles.

Please check with us before scheduling your vehicle pickup.We are not a retail dealership, so it is very important to coordinate your arrival with us before finalizing your plans. We are available from 8AM to 3PM weekdays, and are closed on weekends.

We are approximately 15-minutes from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), the Amtrak 30th Street Train Station, and the Greyhound Philadelphia Bus Station. We may be able to pick you up at any of these terminals, so please inquire if interested.

REGISTRATION, TITLES & FEES:

Out of state purchasers do not pay any Pennsylvania sales tax. A $60 fee will be added to the final sale price of each online transaction, which will cover document fees and preparation, notarizations, and courier costs.

Temporary Transit Tags are available through the state of PA for $60, which will provide valid registration for a period of 30 days. In order to obtain this tag, please provide proof of insurance for any vehicle that you presently own.

Titles are available to the buyer immediately upon full irrevocable payment, which is performed by bank wire transfer or cash in person. Otherwise, the title will be sent to you after your payments have cleared our bank. Occasionally, a title is still being processed by the state and we will issue free temporary registration until the title is received.

All vehicles we sell on eBay are stored in a separate secured facility and we require that all vehicles be picked up within ten days of auction completion. Storage charges after ten days will be charged at $15/day for cars, and more for trucks and larger vehicles depending on size. (Storage charges will not apply to vehicles scheduled for pickup by a transporter).

We will try to exercise some flexibility to accommodate special requests regarding our terms, if they are placed before the auction ends. We also sell vehicles locally and reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time.
