NO RESERVE...WEAK TRANS...NEEDS WORK...RARE W124 WAGON
1994 Mercedes-Benz 300 Series -- Description
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1994 Mercedes-Benz E320 wagon. Please be very careful to read this entire description as this car has several issues. I would rate the exterior of this Mercedes to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION. In fact, the body is probably the best thing this car has going for it. The two tone green finish is one of my favorite colors in the W124 chassis. The finish has a nice shine still and looks smooth all around. The only rust I noticed on the body is a small spot of bubbles under the paint on the driver's side "C pillar". All of the trim and cladding are intact and show well. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. If I had to sum up the interior in one word, it would be "eww". The door cards show well for their age. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are heavily soiled throughout the interior and will require intensive scrubbing to look presentable. What's more, there is a noticeable odor of cigarette smoke in the interior. The wood veneers show well for their age throughout the interior. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors all work. The power sunroof tilts up and closes but does not seem to want to slide back. The original radio will not turn on. The climate control system is fully automatic. The heater works well and I believe the air conditioner works, too. The cargo area is about as clean as the rest of the interior. Again, please read the entire description thoroughly and consider your bid carefully. Mechanically, this car is in need of some immediate work. The 3.2L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The rear shocks are worn out and should be replaced immediately. As a result of this, the ride is very harsh. Steering and braking feel good. The engine keeps proper temperature and oil pressure at all times. She makes good power and feels smooth. The automatic transmission is on it's way out. The car can be driven, but you should plan on replacing or rebuilding the transmission in the very near future. Reverse is almost completely gone and you get some shudder under full load once it's warm. I've had it up to about 60 and she feels stable, aside from the worn rear shocks. Clearly, this car will need some work and you should know what you're getting into. With a little TLC, you can have yourself a very rare W124 wagon that is going to do nothing but appreciate in value over time. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
