1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL Chrome Description

1972 350SLCar has not been used much and has spent a lot of the time sitting in the garage it does run good and drive,engine has no unusual sounds no leaking fluidjust replaced what looks to be the original fuel pump shown in photo with fuel pump housing, transmission shifts as it should no leaking fluid,brakes work and are in good shape,lights work gauges work speedometer and odometer wor, clock does no, radio works cassette is missing door ignition key buzzer works Steering is a little loose and will need attention interior appears to be original the driver side seat needs to be recovered has splits in the seams and other wear the passenger side seat is in really nice shape as are the head rests, carpets are faded and stained in places the dash does have a crack in it close to the wind shield power windows work as they shouldThe under side of the car is nice, there is little rust other then were the rock chips are on the leading edges of the wheel openings and trunk lid edge you will also find minor surface areas that will show a little minor surface rust nothing even close to a holeThe paint is crazed and faded and in need of a new paint job the body and trim are in nice condition with a few very small dings and chips here and there its Very Solid worthy of a restoration, doors hood and trunk lid line up and shut as they should there is one small ding in the rear bumper and a small imperfection in the side body trim right front fender the glass is in good shapeThe soft top appears to be original and functions as it should needing new clear windows the top material is still useable and pliable with one small wear spot on it see photo with pencil pointer the soft top compartment has no rust and the lid functions properly hard top is in nice condition with minor wear the head liner has 2 small wear marks were the top rests on top of the windshieldWheels are in nice condition with no curb rash the tires have lots of tread but were purchased according to the paper work in 1998 so there not really road trip safe the trunk mats are not pictured they do come with the car the original owners manual is there with a few repair tickets of work done years ago the lug wrench and jack are there no other tools Please let me know if you have question or would like to see the carThank you
