PROFILE: According to the records provided, this ‘Pagoda’ is a genuine numbers matching example. It is one of the earliest W113 SL models produced… within the first 4 months of its debut at Geneva! It was originally purchased in Germany October, 1963 and imported here in January 1964. The second Owner purchased the car in 1970 (receipt record). Having spent the majority of its life in Fort Lauderdale, FL, this car received its first & only repaint / upholstery work in 1995. Although it’s the original color of Feuerrot red, the paint is fair with minor blemishes. In 2002, the second Owner (Florida) had passed on leaving it to his daughter in Indianapolis, IN. The third & current Owner purchased the car in 2007 where it has been stored & cared for here in Cincinnati, OH among a private collection since.

The engine runs very strong with its rebuilt injector pump, new plugs-wires-cap & rotor. Oil pressure stays above 2 at idle, fully warmed up. The transmission shifts very well and makes this car plenty of fun to drive. The radio, lights, and heater work great. Both windows crank easily, steering is responsive, and the seats are still firm with like new upholstery. Single key works all original locks. Wheels are all dated with original spare. The car appears to still have its original suspension and bushings. Although it handles well with a comfortable ride, it could use a replacement due to the right rear shock is leaking. The body of the car is in good original condition without any structural corrosion or evidence of repair / damage. However, the driver’s side floor has been patched. All four corners of the floors meeting the foot wells have minor perforations and will need to be patched / replaced, yet still good driver quality. Please keep in mind that this car very well preserved for being over fifty years old.
