2001 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class Description

The car will be sold no reserve and good luck to the highest bidder. I have too many cars " so my wife tells me" and have lost some of my storage. And yes I know I can strip the cars parts and make a lot of money. The coil packs go for $1500 each, the various computers go for thousands each, the new hoses go for $800 each. A salvage yard could make $10,000 easily with just a few parts since they also go on the SL model. So. hopefully somebody will save the car and keep if from being stripped. You will notice that there are hardly any CL600's available since they were the more expensive model.

Owning a big, V-12-powered Mercedes-Benz coupe mostly means you've arrived. Arriving in one and telling everyone you hit a dog on the way probably means you still have a way to go.

But it also had several—including even McGowan—questioning the Benz's inclusion in a grouping of the best used cars for 20 grand. Explanation: We wanted as much modern car wrapped around as many cylinders as possible for the money. The '01-'02 W215 CL600, which cost $122,390 new, fits neatly under the price cap due in part to the naturally aspirated 5.8-liter V-12 underhood.

The supersmooth, naturally aspirated engine is complemented by Mercedes' active body control (ABC) hydraulic suspension, which keeps things level and comfortable. Drivers were amazed at how well it directed the two-ton-plus coupe on the track. The car is best suited for freeway missions, where its coddling ride and interior bring pleasure in high-speed cruising. Items such as radar cruise control, heated and cooled seats, and power trunk and door closers provide extra luxury.
