Vehicle Condition:

Up for auction is, from what I have seen around, the cleanest and most original example of an SL63. If you have arrived here, there is little doubt you know the rarity and uniqueness of this car, and I am sure you would rather hear about this car, rather than copied and pasted specs from the internet - which you probably already know anyways!

This car has lived in a garage it"s whole life, so no rust, bad weather, etc. The pictures make the car look new, and it really does ... The car runs and drives like a new SL63. The whole time this vehicle has been cared for by it's second owner, he used it as an occasional use vehicle, basically a weekend cruiser (with a beast of an engine). When not use, it stayed parked in his climate controlled warehouse on a Ctek battery maintainer. This is a typical dry weather car with no rust anywhere on it, minimal sun, etc.

Vehicle Exterior:

The paint appears to be factory, and looks basically new. There's a few fine scratches and blemishes that are hard to see but I'll try to show them in the pictures. If you look closely on the rear driver's side of the bumper, there is a scuff that looks like it could be buffed out but I decided to leave it and avoid the risk of burning through the original paint. Considering the car is over 7 years old, it looks amazing. The doors and trunk all shut with very minimal effort, all lights, gauges, switches, etc. work properly, and the wheels look good and are dead on straight minus a bit of clear coat peel that could use a touch up. The Michelin Pilot Super Sports are new as of 8 months ago and have around 1000 miles on them. They are perfect and offer amazing performance while still quiet and of course no dry rotting. All of the VIN tags match throughout the different panels on the car as you would expect. There are no door dings or other body damage on this vehicle.

Vehicle Interior:

The vehicle interior looks just about brand new. You can see a little wear on the driver's bolster but all the leather is supple with no tears. The passenger seat and the rest of the interior look literally showroom new. Even the the leather wrapped instrument cluster looks absolutely flawless. The carpet looks perfect with no visible wear. It was obviously owned by a non-smoker since neither I nor the previous owner never smoked in it. The interior smells very "Mercedes" with that oh so familiar Mercedes leather smell they all have. All of the switch gear work as you would expect, and everything is incredibly untouched. The convertible top opens and closes 100% correctly. The power trunk also works like new. I don't want to sound like a broken record but, this is a very nice car.

The factory Mercedes audio system sounds great and is all original with the exception of Bluetooth capability added. Oddly, this year SL didn't come from the factory with Bluetooth, so that problem was easily rectified with the addition of a Bovee Bluetooth adapter.

Vehicle Mechanical Info:

I already said it above, and will say it again... this is a very nice car. The car runs excellent and has been driven occasionally since it was acquired, and there have not been any problems at all. It's up to date on all maintenance. Within the last 2000 miles it's had a transmission service, oil change, new spark plugs and wires installed and I want to stress agai, new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Performance is amazing; it's comfortable, dependable, and safe. The 7 speed transmission shifts flawlessly withno problems or unusual noises. The vehicle accelerates smoothly and sounds perfect. Not too loud but loud enough for any average person to quickly realize that this is not an ordinary SL Mercedes. The engine does not ping or knock. Acceleration is fierce. Braking is strong. It just runs great overall with no known problems. If I had the room to store it, I'd totally keep it.

A $500 deposit is due via Paypal within 48 hours of the end of auction. full payment is to be made via certified funds within 7 days of auction end. You are more than welcome to come pick up the car from my office / warehouse, or I can assist you in finding a shipping company to come pickup the car, etc.
