2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4dr Sedan 3.5L 4MATIC Description

I'm selling my 2006 Mercedes E350 4MATIC sedan (W211). I've taken good care of this car and performed all the oil changes and services approximately on schedule. It was serviced at either a Mercedes dealer or by my local shop that only does Mercedes/BMW/Audi (they poach mechanics from the local Mercedes dealer!).
I listed it at 132,000 miles. Today it's a bit less. It's still getting a few trips around town, so it may be a bit more, may be a bit less.
Mechanically, it runs smooth and almost everything functions as it should. The 4Matic 4WD system works great in the snow.
The vehicle is painted in Cubanite Silver, which is a very pale gold, almost silver color. The interior is black and gray MB-Tex material. This is an eleven-year-old car. The paint and interior look great for eleven years, but it's not perfect. There are nicks and chips, especially on the forward facing surfaces; that's what happens when you put 130,000 miles on a car!

Recent Service:
  • Intake manifold replaced less than 1,000 miles ago. The M272 engine is notorious for having the variable geometry intake manifold fail, as mine did. You can replace the actuator cam, but I ended up replacing the entire part with a factory replacement.
  • Spark plug replacement less than 5,000 miles ago. I did it myself, very easy!
  • Brake system replacement, two years ago. This car features the Bosch Sensotronic Brake Control, which works well unless it fails, as mine did. Mercedes replaced the entire system at no cost. This would have been a $4,000 repair if not under warranty. My indy repair guy says the newer version that I received fixes some problems from the older version.
  • Oil change, less than 1,000 miles ago.
  • Recently passed the Maryland emissions inspection, less than 1,000 miles ago.

Issues:
  • The GPS sends intermittent and incorrect positions. I've read that this is a common failure on the W211 due to corrosion on an antenna connector. I don't use the nav system, so I never bothered to fix it. I understand it's an easy and cheap repair.
  • Headlight lenses fogged. I bought a kit to fix this, and never used it. I'll include it with the vehicle.
  • Driver's seat has two tears, not all the way through. I'll include a picture. 11 years of driving: MB-Tex is tough but not that tough, I suppose!
  • Ding on the rear door, driver's side. I always made it a point to park far away from other vehicles, but sometimes you can't. Not sure where or when, but some knucklehead opened their door into mine. It still hurts two years later! It's probably fixable, but I didn't want to mess up the clearcoat since I don't know what I'm doing.
  • Slight crack in front bumper. Maryland requires a front license plate. I hated the idea of drilling my front bumper, so got a plate holder that screws into the tow hook (I'll include that with the car). Someone backed into it and a bolt put a little crack in the bumper.
  • Scuff on the rear bumper. Not visible in most pictures, except one close-up that I took.
  • Tires. They're fine, but probably need replacing in the next 6 to 12 months. I've considered that compared to the KBB when setting the start price of this auction, so don't ask for another discount for new tires!

Inspection:I encourage any potential buyer to inspect this vehicle before bidding. I live in Owings, Maryland, 20736 and work in Lanham, Maryland, 20706 and can make the vehicle available for inspection in either location with a day or two notice. If you want to send a service to inspect, that's fine. I don't want the buyer to be surprised and/or disappointed in any way. If you want more pictures of something specific or have any questions, ask me.
Shipping/Delivery:This vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is. I can deliver it to the New Carrolton (Maryland) Metro Station or Amtrak Station, which is close to my place of work. eBay has recommendations for shipping companies if you need it delivered.
Payment and Deposit:I will require a non-refundable $500.00 deposit (via PayPal or cash) within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Within 10 business days, the balance of the sale price must be paid in full. I accept certified cashiers check or cash. I will not accept a personal check. The funds must clear my bank account before I will assign the vehicle title. You will need your own tags to get it home if you're driving it; Maryland requires that I turn my tags in so you can't use them (I got a fine for this once -- never again!!!).
