1999 Mercedes M-class ML430 very low miles for parts
1999 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Description
Here's the story. I'm the second Owner of this SUV. I bought it in 2005 for my wife with 48k miles on it from the original owner in Florida. She loved it and put 30k more miles in the next couple of years before she passed away. I kept the car for sentimental reasons but didn't drive it. The car sat under a cover in my driveway in Newport Beach and got a few spots of surface rust form the salty air over the years. I also did not renew the registration on it. The car has a clean California title but if it were to be registered in California, those past due fees would have to be taken care of with the California DMV. Registration in other states would be fine. I've finally decided it's time to let it go and this is why I'm selling it as a parts car. The upgraded 18" Mercedes alloys alone are worth more than my starting price on this No Reserve Auction.Mechanically, it ran great before being parked. It runs but needs a new fuel filter because of the long time with old gas.Cosmetically the inside is in excellent condition. The outside is not bad aside from the couple of spots of rust. Please see pictures. The worst is the spot on the roof.Anyone who buys this car to part it out will make a lot of money. Good engine, transmission electronic components etc.

The ML430 is being sold as a parts car so I don't have to deal with any possible California DMV or other issues. There are no DMV back fees that would apply in any other state. Only California, because it is a California car and they require a seller to provide the buyer with Smog/emissions certificate prior to the transfer of title. I suspect they'd want to collect any back fees on it. If you're a California resident, you should call them to find out. If you'll be registering it in another state, it is not an issue. As far as what the car needs now, The battery is good for now and will hold a charge but it will need to be charged. The fuel filter absolutely needs to be replaced. I think that's it. Everything worked when my late wife passed and the car was parked years ago. I did start it occasionally but it involved charging the battery each time. The Car is titled in my name and has a clean title and carfax history.A local Mercedes junk yard offered me $500 for it. I figured I'd see if I can do any better on eBay with a no reserve auction.
