Mercedes Benz Galendawagen G300GE
1992 Mercedes-Benz G-Class 300GE Description
1992 Right Hand Drive G Wagon with only 58,000 kilometers and service records from the preeminent Mercedes Benz dealership/importer in Tokyo (Yanase). This is a 25 year old vehicle, but you’d never know it and it is one of the cleanest vehicles I have come across. • Unique garnet red metallic paint with little flaws, plenty of life evidence of care and cleanliness; • Grey interior is quite impeccable with no tears in the seats, clean headliner, and clean carpets, but no original MB floor mats; • It was rated 4 at auction and purchased because of its extensive and documented service history at the Mercedes Benz dealership in Tokyo. • Untouched 15-piece tool set with emergency road flares and emergency kit; • Full books (owner’s manuals in leather pouch) and service records; • Functioning air conditioning system, sunroof, windows, locks, but antenna appears aftermarket. • Service includes MB battery and windshield wipers. • Vehicle has three locking differentials (front, center, and rear and are working). • The 3.0L inline six runs like new and is quite gutsy for this 5,700-lb beast; • The transmission and transfer case work as they should; • The vehicle has 5 Michelin tires with plenty of tread on them and no evidence of cupping or misalignment. This means the spare matches the four tires on the car and can be included in the rotation. Michelin is the preferred name brand for these heavy vehicles. • It has mud flaps, headlight guards, rear jump seats, a car cover, a CD changer, and an extra vinyl MB car cover. • No evidence of smoking; • No evidence of repaint, body repair, or accidents. As with most JDM cars, VIN number comes may come up as invalid. The VIN is: WBD46322827082820. Please remember that the Japanese are notorious for maintenance (by law and as a culture). This vehicle was probably owned by a Qantas airline employee living in Tokyo and drove it in the city only. If you have never driven a G-Wagen, do so, preferably at highway speeds. They have a finicky and complex suspension system and are known to vibrate at highways speeds because of the suspension / wheels / and tires. This includes newer models as well. Check the G Wagon forums. This one is smooth and flat with no vibrations and a pleasant car to drive. I reserve the right to end this auction early as this vehicle is advertised locally.
