We've been selling SL's for over 25 years and it is truly one of our favorite offerings from the boys and girl at Mercedes Benz. The SL received a major re-design in 2003 and then a slight "freshening" in 2007. We've located a gently used one that has been in the owner's garage for a few years and it will save you tens of thousands of dollars versus buying a new one. The best part is that WE'RE SELLING IT WITH NO RESERVE AND THE BID STARTS AT $1.00!!!! FORGET ABOUT ALL OF THOSE RESERVE AUCTIONS AND TRY A TRUE AUCTION. THIS CAR WILL BE SOLD TO THE LAST BIDDER........NO MATTER WHAT!!!! Most dealers would list this car with a hefty reserve, but not Valley Auto Sport.....we've got the best merchandise and no reserves.

Ok, now for a few details. This NON-SMOKER'S car is in absolutely beautiful condition. Prior to our ownership, it has spent most of its life in sunny Florida and was previously a Mercedes Benz Certified Pre-owned vehicle. That means that less than 10k miles ago, it was completely gone through by an MB Master Technician to be sure it could carry the CPO sticker......it's one of the good ones! The boss has had it in the garage since 2013and finally decided that it's time to find a new owner. The SL-Class Benz is truly one of the ultimate luxury convertibles in the world today.Born in the mid-1950's as the "gullwing", the SL or "Sports Leicht" (sports lightweight) hasevolved into one of the premier open-air, two seat, grand touring (GT) cars in the world today. Power for 2008 comes from the 5.5L V8 that produces about 382HP and 0-60 times around 6 seconds.....that's 80 more horsepower than the 2006 model! Shifting is done via an electronically controlled, driver adaptive 7-speed automatic transmission. It comes standard with "Touch-Shift" which allows you to control the shifts manually for better performance if you so choose. Probably the best change since 2003 is the retractable hard top. The SL's of old required that the hard top be lifted off and stored in order to use the soft top. Now, all you have to do is pull back on 1 button, and the all-aluminum top folds and stows neatly in the trunk. It is very similar to the system used in the SLK-class cars. Now you can enjoy the security and comfort of a coupe hand in hand with the open air thrill of an awesome roadster. Plus, there's no cloth soft top to wear out or leak. It would take forever to go over all the options and accessories included with this car, so we'll only touch on a few of the highlights. The luxury, multi-contour front seats both have the pulse feature allowing you to get a massage while driving down the road and are also heated and cooled. There are also numerous adjustable air bladders to dial in that perfect level of support. Another item we'll talk about is the COMMAND system. This is a cockpit management system that allows you to control numerous functions via the 7" screen up front. From service scheduling, to phone calls, to audio systems, to monitoring tire pressure, to navigation, it's all at your fingertips. This one also comes with the keyless go system allowing you to operate the car as long as the key is somewhere with you. Safety innovations are also quite numerous on the new SL. There are a bunch of acronyms describing all the advanced engineering included to help you avoid an accident. From ASR to ESP and ABC to EBD, there are plenty of computers working hard to keep you safe. The ESP system momentarily applies the brake on one wheel whenever understeer or oversteer is detected by a central computer using numerous motion and wheel speed sensors. This allows you to really power out of a turn without the worry of the rear end coming out from under you. The ABC or Active Body Control virtually eliminates body roll when cornering and also includes a driver controlled adjustable suspension. This car with all of the options listed was over $90,000 new, and we will sell it for thousands less than you could expect to pay at your local dealer. If you're in the market for an SL with all of the best equipment and looks that could kill, this is the one!! THIS IS THE ONE EVERYONE WANTS SO DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE OR YOU MAY MISS OUT!! Now for the condition report. The exterior and interior are in fantastic condition. Outside the timeless Alabaster White paint shines and glistens with no dents or damage to report. There are a few normal chips and marks from 44k miles of driving, but really not much else to say. You will not be disappointed in the quality and condition of this high end roadster....if it's good enough for the boss, we think you'll love it. Inside, the beige leather is smooth and supple with no holes, tears or stains.The carpets are clean and there are no foul odors or other evidence of smoking. This car has obviously been well cared for and looks and runs like a dream. The Carfax and Title are both clean but we are selling it 100% AS-IS which is standard protocol for our used cars and trucks. The front tires are size 255/40 R18 with about 80% tread, and the rear tires are size 285/35 R18 with about 80% tread remaining. NADA says suggested retail is around $30,000, but we're starting at $1.00 and selling it to whoever bids last......PERIOD!! We will be happy to provide transportation from the airport or train station in Harrisburg if you provide us with your schedule.
Buyer is responsible for shipping however we will gladly help with the logistics.
We charge a $150.00 fee to all buyers ($50 doc fee and $100 processing fee). PA residents must pay sales tax and state registration fees. Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, and local taxes and fees that may apply in the state the vehicle will be registered, however we will provide a 30-day temporary tag with proof of insurance from your agent or insurance company.
Part of our qualification process is test driving our vehicles. Therefore, this vehicle may have a few more miles than we list above. We try to keep it within 100-200 miles of the number shown above.
