1998 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL500 2dr Roadster 5.0L Description

Vehicle Overview This is a stunning jet black 500-SL with a grey convertible top and a black hard top. I have never seen one with a grey top before. It is the prettiest one I have ever seen and believe me, I've seen a lot of them. The car is a one owner and has a clean Auto-Check report which is included with the pictures. The convertible top appears to be almost new and the top cylinders were replaced last month. Everything works perfectly. The car has both keys, books, factory mats, factory wind screen and cover, factory tool kit and CD player. The car had the air bags replaced at Mercedes Benz under recall. This is really really a nice car. It rides on Michelins with 75% tread remaining. There is no evidence of paint work anywhere. The interior is original and beautiful. We did not have to re-spray seats or carpets, they are beautiful. The wood is bright and lustrous. Even the power antenna works. This is one beautiful car. Why not fly in and drive it home? Payment
We gladly accept cash, wire transfer, bank or loan check paypal, and personal checks. We accept PayPal for the initial non-refundable deposit only unless you wish to pay the costs associated with PayPal. We DO NOT accept credit cards. We will not release the vehicle or title until we have verified that funds have cleared our bank and until all paperwork has been executed and returned to us. An initial deposit as stated in the listing is due within 24 hours of auctions end. Full payment is due within 7 days of auctions end. Once we have full payment and paperwork in hand we will release the vehicle and title.

Pickup & Delivery
Your car will be serviced and detailed upon delivery unless otherwise stated in the listing.
Your car will be released to you or the designated carrier of your choice once funds have cleared and all paperwork has been executed and returned. We are located on a "transport accessible" road. We will also pick you up at SW Florida International Airport (RSW). Our hours of operation are M-F: 9a.m.-5p.m. and Saturday: 9a.m.-3p.m. We will accommodate your needs by appointment as well. We will not assist in shipping other than to facilitate loading of your vehicle at our facility.
There is easy accessibility to shipping quotes on the eBay site. We offer free storage for 30 days from the time of purchase. After that, the charge is $10.00 per day for up to 30 days and then $25.00 per day thereafter. Remember, once you have purchased the car you are responsible for insuring it regardless of whether or not you have picked It up. We require that a bill of sale, odometer statement, federal disclosure form, and any other pertinent paperwork be fully executed before your vehicle is released for pickup or transport. We assume no liability for your car while stored at our facility.

Fees & Taxes
We do not charge a dealer fee on any transaction. If you are a Florida resident, you are required to pay all fees including sales tax, registration and licensing fees at the time of delivery. We will issue you a temporary tag if necessary.
Some out of state residents are required to pay sales tax in Florida and receive a corresponding credit in their home state. Florida does not allow the issuance of "drive out" tags to out of state residents unless Florida sales tax is collected. Please check with your state for their policy relating to temporary tags.

Bidding & Pre-Sale

Title Condition
All vehicle are sold with a marketable title that is free of any lien or encumbrance.
If the title is branded for any reason such as "salvage, re-built, flood, police vehicle" etc. it will be disclosed in the listing. If we advertise a vehicle as "actual mileage" it means that we have an affidavit from the seller stating so. In some cases where a vehicle is in excess of 10 years old the title may be branded as "exempt" from federal disclosure. This does not mean the miles are not actual. All vehicle over 10 years of age are exempt from federal disclosure. If the miles are in excess of mechanical limits or not actual we will disclose this in the listing.

Warranty Info
Every vehicle we sell has been inspected and serviced by us. We are a full-service repair facility. It is our policy to repair any material defects or disclose them in the listing if we have not repaired them. In that, we sell many older and specialty vehicles we do not offer a warranty on your vehicle.
All cars are sold "as-is" We strongly encourage those of you that have purchased a collector or vintage vehicle from us to have it shipped. If we feel that a vehicle is not road worthy we will disclose that in the listing. Remember, these are used cars and every single one of them has some normal wear and tear. We are very selective about the cars that we offer for sale and will never knowingly sell you a car in need of material repairs unless we disclose it in the listing. All that said, they are used vehicles and it is not a question of "if" something will break, it is a question of when.

Trade-ins & Financing
We do not offer in house financing. Many of our cars are of an age when traditional lenders disqualify them from their programs. It is you responsibility to have the money to pay for the car available BEFORE you bid. We do accept trades but reserve the right to appraise them at our facility before committing to a final trade allowance. WE WILL TAKE MOST ANYTHING OF VALUE ON TRADE REGARDLESS OF THE VALUE! This includes real estate, Rolex, diamonds, airplanes, power boats etc. If you want it gone and it is worth the money, we are your buyer!

Repairs & Restoration
We are a full service repair facility with relationships in the paint and body and upholstery business. If there are any post-sale repairs that we can assist you in arranging with an outside vendor before you take delivery of your collector vehicle we will be happy to assist. Our policy is to pass through the actual cost of the outside vendor plus a 20% service fee. We will happily provide an estimate for repairs before work is commenced.
