2000 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C230 Kompressor Description

2000 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor

You are viewing a well care for 2000 Mercedes C230, legendary 2.3 litter 195hp supercharged motor, Diamond Black Pearl, with only 112,300 miles. The car is loaded with factory sunroof. If you are reviewing this ad, I probably don't need to explain very much since you already know the reliability and longevity of these vehicles, not to mention it is built like a tank with front and side airbags. This is a two-owner car (California and Florida) driven by women drivers and has zero rust with a near spotless finish. It looks new on the outside with only two blemishes worth noting, a small ding on driver fender and some clear coat bubbles on the roof. The interior is also extremely nice for its age, its not perfect, but it has a new headliner.

The car has had all maintenance items completed, to include fuel filter, engine and transmission oil and filter changes. The plugs and plug resistors to include coil packs have also been changed with OEM parts. I have also replaced the driveline flex disks. The car runs and drives very well. I am selling the car because my daughter graduated from college. There is absolutely nothing running wise wrong with the car at all. AC is cold and the heat is hot. Radio is aftermarket pioneer w/Bluetooth since original failed. I am a perfectionist so I like everything right on my cars.

Here are the only things I know that would need to be corrected on this car for it to be absolutely mint.

SRS Light - The passenger seat sensor has gone bad. I can get the sensor for $65 dollars but it would have to go to interior shop to remove seat cover and since my daughter didn't use the passenger seat, it wasn't cost effective for me to fix. If I had a friend in the car interior business, it would get done.

Vibration at 80mph - I think this is due to the car sitting or it has lost a weight on one of the tires. The tires are basically new, just over a year old but they may have developed minor flat spots (from sitting at college) causing the vibration (just my honest thoughts). I am having the tires balanced this week and this may disappear but I wanted to be completely honest with the buyer.

Clear coat bubbles on roof - See pictures, but it does have a few clear coat bubbles behind the sunroof. They are not peeling but I wanted to note them.

Rear deck - the trim around the first aid kit is missing. I got the car this way but I haven't seen a reason to do anything about it.

Like I said and the pictures will show, the exterior is near perfect for its age and has been babied and pampered since I got it. It would make a great car for high school or college age person since it is built like a tank. You can know your kids will be safe thus the reason I bought it. The previous California owner always had it serviced by MB dealership. It has never been in an accident, never been mechanically modified at all and has been primarily highway driven. It starts, runs, drives and handles as nicely as a brand-new one at a fraction of the cost new.

The Kompressor 2.3 liter engine in the W202 platform was the most desirable engine ever offered in a MB and will easily last 300K if it has proper maintenance. I will also include extra engine oil, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid with the car. In addition, I have the Mercedes C230 W202 38 pin tester and special tools for the car. The MB tester MAXICPU developed in the UK was designed for testing this and many other MB platforms. I will include this with the sale of the car. I will also include my 11-inch laptop to run the software and hardware at the asking price.

I welcome any and all questions you might have on this car. I am asking $4400 OBO for the car. I can be reached at (850) 502-9349 voice or text message.

Please remember, this is not a new car and will be sold AS-IS, it is a used vehicle and, as such, it does have wear and tear consistent with the age of the vehicle. It is not perfect, although it is VERYnice and it is definitely in excellent condition. . I do everything I can to describe vehicles as accurately as possible, but I am human and I may miss something occasionally.

Please, if you want to come and look at it, do so BEFORE bidding...or call or email me and I will answer any questions you may have. Thanks, David!

Winning bidder agrees to forward a $500 dollar partial payment at end of auction via direct bank wire transfer or by overnighted cashier's check, money order or certified funds. Balance will be due within seven days of end of auction or at time of pick up or delivery, whichever comes first. I will help in any way possible to arrange transportation. I can store thecar as long as needed until pick up can be arranged, as long as it's paid for.

Because of people who bid and do not contact me or pay, I am being forced to implicate a rule pertaining to low-feedback bidders. ANY BIDDER WHO BIDS, WITH A FEEDBACK OF 5 OR LESS, WILL HAVE THEIR BID RETRACTED IMMEDIATELY unless they contact me first, prior to bidding. I hope everyone understands, but a few bad apples have spoiled the proverbial bunch. Thanks for understanding.
