1999 Mercedes E300 Turbo Diesel
1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Description
I have for sale a 1999 Mercedes Benz E300 Turbo Diesel. The car is in great shape for the year. This car has been in the south until I owned it, either in Florida or Missouri, this is my summer driver so it has never seen a Wisconsin winter. The car has had a good quality repaint done at some point and the finish is still in good condition, but there is one small spot of rust on the drivers side front fender and has some small bubbles around the edges of the fenders (not sure it was just primer that wasn't sanded properly or bubbles). I have had the car for about 5 years and have done quite a bit of expensive maintenance work while having it. This spring I have had all of the rubber and plastic fuel lines replaced, water pump replaced, cooling system flushed and filled with correct Mercedes Coolant, new serpentine belt, new serpentine belt tensioner, new tensioner spring, new serpentine idler, and serpentine damper. I have also replaced the fuel filter and just did an oil change (about $1400 in work). I have done many of the other expensive things that are common replacement items which are new glow plugs, transmission conductor plate and transmission wiring harness plug, transmission fluid & filter replacement, and rubber exhaust mounts. Most major work performed by Black Forest in Glendale WI. The previous owner redid the AC system so the AC blows nice and cold. The battery was also replaced last year.
The car has optional AMG wheels, which are 17" staggered size with Goodyear Eagle Sport tires, the tires have good tread on them yet and the stock aluminum wheels with Michelin tires also come with the car.
There are sheepskin seat covers on the front seats, underneath the seats are in excellent condition as is the rest of the interior. It does show minor wear due to use.
The car does have the optional Bose speaker system, original stereo with working 6 disk changer.
The car drives out nice and is very reliable; I get low 30s for MPG on the highway. There are a few small items that do not work, just want to be up front so there are no surprises. The passenger side power mirror (still can adjust manually), the back light for the LCD for the Odometer is out but you can still read the mileage (common issue with Mercedes if this era), the power motor the drivers side headrest, and the one windshield washer fluid nozzle appears to be partially clogged. There is also a small crack in the lower right hand corner of the windshield (see picture), it was this way when I bought the car and I never replaced since it is small and it is the original windshield in the car. My reason for selling is I need something to drive in the winter which I wasn't willing to do with this car.
I do have a full Autocheck report available if interested which confirms states the car was owned in and it being accident free.
The car is being sold in AS IS condition. A $500 Deposit must be made via Pay Pal or in person within 48 hours of auction end. The car must be picked up within 7 days of the auction end and balance is due at that time preferably in Cash but will accept a Cashiers Check.
Please message me with any questions and I will be happy to get back to you quickly. If you are local and like to see the car please let me know.
I do have the car for sale locally, so I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
