Mercedes SL600 2000 V-12 rarest year ONLY140 made in excellent conditions

2000 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class ALL INCLUDED Description

This is an SL600 V12 not a 500, for those of you that do not know the difference besides that it is a 12 cylinder. The other difference is that when new it cost $147,000.00 out the door, about $45,000.00 more than the 500, that's 50% more and everything was standard, it included all options. You will not see many SL600 for sale because over the 17 year production span of this body style, only 11,083 were made worldwide. I believe that only 140 were made in 2000 which makes this year model the rarest. Everything on this car is handmade, the entire interior is leather and hand stitched, even the dash board, visors, steering wheel shift knob, cover compartment for top and door panels are hand stitched leather, everything. This car has a roll bar that you can put up or down at the touch of a button, or it will auto deploy and spring up in a fraction of a second if all four wheels should ever leave the ground.

DON'T BE CONFUSED, THESE ARE SPECIAL CARS. CONSIDERED TO BE EXOTICS.

I have driven this car on cruise control at 160 and it handles as though you were on a Sunday pleasure ride. It is capable of 210 plus, however it is electronically limited to about 165.

It gets 16/17 city and can cruise all day at 80 mph. and get 23 mpg.

I am the second owner, I bought it when it was 2 years old, it was a certified pre-owned car direct from Mercedes Benz, accident free car and still is. Handles like a dream and is mechanically sound. The entire cooling system is fairly new, when the water pump needed replacement, I replaced everything to do with the cooling system, (waterpump, thermostat, radiator, belts, hoses, idler pully) and flushed and cleaned the block. The tires as you can see in the pics are great, they are Continental Extremes and have only 8,000 miles on them, these tires are rated for speeds over 100 mph continuously, non- stop. The battery is 2 months old and I just had the rear windows in the soft top replaced, so they look like the day the car was made. It also comes with the original HARD TOP, although it is not pictured because it is in storage and wrapped in plastic. When you buy the car you get the HARD TOP also, it has only been on the car for several weeks in its entire life. This car has never spent a night outside, always been garaged, never been used in winter, stored from Thanksgiving till April 1st. every year. NO SNOW AN NO SALT.

As I say, the car is great, looks, feels, and handles like new. There are only two things wrong, it needs a new antenna mast, and small bump the size of a tennis ball, see pictures, (I bumped it with my lawn tractor) if I did not mention it you probably would not notice. The reason I'm selling it is that at my age I needed something more roomy! I bought an S63, and now I simply don't use the SL600 anymore, only drove it twice this year.
